It is often very busy and filled with people who are obnoxious, but if you’re willing to go slightly off path you’ll find parts that are even nicer and very quiet! As seen in pictures. Be sure to make sure you know the name of your starting point, so you don't do what I did and confidently back to the wrong car park :). There are many places to park along these trails and it is possible to in the wrong direction. Nice little place to stop. This is a to the Waterfall. For first 25 - 30 minutes it's just one track which is nice, with different streams running down the hill both sides. After there is a bridge which you can go across for other routes or carry on the same one. The is worth seeing it was flowing so well. Recommend a here Amazing and views. Hard work getting up and some very steep inclines but route is well marked and path all the way. Falls are amazing to see and well worth it. Coming down takes a lot less time than going up. Very scenic, great for dogs on or off lead. pubs at the entrance to the walks. I would advise planning your route before hand as the trials can be a bit confusing. A along a gorge with a river and a load of waterfalls. In the right weather and early enough there are not too many people and parking is no problem. There is a pub and a coffee house to get refreshments at the start/end and a public toilet. It's not all easy going, and wheelchairs are not gonna make the main event. There are rocks, steps, drops and uneven slippery mud sections. There are mine openings, derelict stone buildings and the path runs along an old mine track way that retains its stone sleepers. In the drought of some summers the can get down to a big trickle but most of the time they are very impressive. There is one that you behind and alot of people leap off off it into the pool. There is one in a big rock bowl that you climb up into. It really is an impressive walk. The biggest of the is around 50mins in, with some impressive rock slabs on the way. Beautiful with free parking. Small hike and longer hike options available. Hands down one of the prettiest places I've visited. This place is beautiful and so refreshing. The trial took about 4 hours in total, and we stopped off at each waterfall. The were beautiful, and it was so tranquil. The steps going down to some of the are a bit steep, so I would recommend a good pair of shoes or hiking boots as it can be a bit slippy and muddy. The car park was good and had toilets. This is a perfect day out for families, and it is dog friendly. You can go swimming in the water too. I would highly recommend. Nice walk, and or day out. It's doable for all abilities, would recommend water and maybe a snack though because it is about 4/5miles and lots of steep hills and stairs. We paced it so was just under 2hrs but you can go at your own pace. There aren't any shortcuts, so would recommend doing the last (the one you can behind) first, then if you want to and feel up for it, do the other 2 afterwards. Parking is either free or £5 if the free parking spots are full Family of 5 (2 adults 3 children 10, 7 and 1yr old in back carrier) we did the Elidir trail and loved it so much! It's very popular in the summer, but if you get there early, about 9am ish, you'll have the place almost to yourself for a while. If you have a four legged friend that needs to cool down their paws then this is the place, can be a tad challenging in a couple of spots on the lower but nothing to be afraid of. Do read all information first, so to be prepared and therefore the whole family can enjoy it. We did see people not so prepared eg no water, poor footwear and limited prep - they were often not happy! The trail was absolutely delightful to along! It's quite accessible, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. There were a few spots that were a bit slippery and muddy, so it's a great idea to wear the right gear. As you stroll beside the sparkling stream, you'll be greeted with breathtaking views that are simply stunning. And reaching the waterfall? It was a breeze! Really enjoyed our time here, and there are two little pubs for some food and / or drinks after. Absolutely to do, breathtaking to see from start to finish. Will definitely be going again. My daughter is 8, and she loved the walk. There are toilets just before you started your walk, like cafe and pub to get some food after. Parking is on the side of the road, I would get there early just to try and park.
