We had a meal here in their outside garden, and it’s clear word has got around because the dining room was absolutely packed. Service was pretty fast given the crowd, and the range of meals went beyond the usual burgers, with a fabulous curry. But if you’re tempted to here be warned, 3 of the 4 rooms are the tiniest rooms I’ve ever seen, with a shower the size of towel rail. The rooms are clean, modern, quiet and beautifully appointed, but if you do here you will need to be travelling very light, or leave your bags in the car. The location can’t be beat for walking to the waterfalls, the track starts right across the street, but if you do want to stay, pay extra for the bigger room, which is a decent size and has plenty of space for bags, and in the bathroom. It’s well worth the extra money. Parking is at an open lot somewhere across the street, which didn’t feel safe, though we had no issues, and right now the entire area behind and alongside the hotel is a building site, which somewhat wrecked the ambience. Staff were superb, and food and drink top class, but the rooms are just too small. A stop off prior to taking a up waterfall country. Upon arrival it was quiet and very relaxed. Dogs are also allowed inside. We were greated by one of the team who said to take a seat and order at the bar. The was and had a choice for breakfast. We ordered 2 lattes, a large and small breakfast plus 2 sausages for the dogs which came to around £38. Drinks soon arrived followed bot too long by the breakfast. Everything was fresh and so tasty. quality products which you don't mind spending that little bit extra for. Well worth a visit!! Very warm welcome from staff. Rooms are beautifully done out. The shower was petite but very clean and well maintained. What an absolute treat it was to be here! Really enjoyed the and the food, I opted for the Christmas Special baguette, it was honestly very dreamy and cannot recommend enough, my brothers has the Philly cheese and loaded fries respectively and both raved about how the quality was. Really staff, my only gripe is that the table next to us were not in control of their dogs which is always extremely annoying A place to visit after a to the nearby waterfalls. The here were particularly and helpful. We didn't in the accommodation, so I can't comment on this, but the restaurant was excellent, with a variety of dishes. Stayed the night here whilst visiting the waterfall walks in the area. Perfect place to explore from. Very busy pub but service! Room was immaculate and Reasonably priced too! Pics I've posted are of the walks leading away from the place we stayed! Can't fault it :) Ended up booking this place after the food at the accommodation we were stopping at didn't pass muster. I noticed a few poor reviews, but to be fair it was more the accommodation side of the place that was mentioned; size mostly. It has the vibe of a cafe, but it's a little place. We turned up on night, 40 pound a couple with a drink. Turned out to be a real bargain. With two deserts, under 55 pound. Excellent quality and service. One point that others have mentioned is parking. We were lucky, but during a busy day, I guess it could be an issue. Always a warm welcome of the staff, particularly after a strut round the falls! They keep a pint and the grub I've had there has been belting. I'm vegan and still well catered to. I like how the don't guess if they aren't sure and they're diligent in checking, seems daft to say but it's rare and reassuring! If packed as it regularly is, you can still hear yourself think as well as chat away. I've run pubs for a spell, nothing to do with this 1 at all. But I'd be proud if it were mine cause they do a belting job Spent a very enjoyable and relaxing hour or two here on Christmas Eve having lunch at one of the outside tables taking in the stunning views The food, had the fish finger baguette, was delicious and an excellent sized portion. The staff, though busy, were very helpful, and chatty. atmosphere place, this is our second visit returning from last year. We had the sirloin and this was cooked to perfection! Melt in the mouth. The team are so and went above and beyond for our daughter making a memorable experience. Really wonderful cozy place. I had a delicious full english vegan breakfast and my doggies also got some treats. Welcoming and value for money! Can't wait to go back there! We stopped here today for lunch after our waterfall walk. The location is and the outside area was ideal with dogs and well kept. The food was really it was all homemade. were very friendly. I could highly recommend we got the baked salmon salad and SFC burger. The chunky chips are lovely. size portions and all fresh tasting. 👌 The music they play over lunch is extremely loud, even after asking the to turn it down. It’s gym music, fast, very bassy and just a bit too much. It really spoils the place itself which is very smart. The food is too. Came across this place whilst on a route seeking out the waterfalls and it was just what we needed. was and coffee and cakes… we both had a sandwich and roll too which were good. Also had baby change which was for us with a 12week old! The was amazing, as was the yummy food and generous portions. The ambience was too, including the music! The room was clean and cozy, and the velux windows were a lifesaver at night. Though the area can be a little noisy at night. Great location if you're planning to do the Four Waterfalls walk. We were just stopping for a pint after the waterfall walk, but we were too tempted by the menu! We had a few of the small plates to share and they were beautiful - presentation and taste! Be sure to try the mushrooms on toast, so so delicious. The prices are cheap for the top quality of the food. Also from the staff. Can’t wait to visit again! This is the perfect one stop shop. The room we stayed in was "cosy" but beautiful, clean and perfectly sufficient for a very restful night's sleep. The food in the bistro was absolutely stunning with some of the best peppercorn sauce I've ever had (stolen from my partner's plate while he was distracted by his perfectly cooked steak). Highly recommended and I would happily again We stopped here after doing the waterfalls for a much needed hot drink. The were super friendly, especially the lady who served us. You could really see the joy she was putting in to the kids hot chocolates! We weren't rushed out after finishing and the cakes were delicious. Only thing that loses a star... We paid £39 for 2x kids hot chocolates, 2x coffees and 3x slices of cake. No and no receipt, so not sure if we paid someone else's bill? Seems very steep. Despite that, an enjoyable recovery stop. What a weekend in this Lodge. Wonderful welcome, quick check in. room, small but had everything & very comfortable bed, we didn't stir all night. home cooked breakfast , hot, tasty and a choice. The bar was busy, cheery and we had a evening meal. 1 tasty big fat juicy bacon & cheese burger, delicious 😋. too. selection of beers, cocktails & their own brand gin, what's not to like. Waterfall was heaven, stunning views, sounds. We walked 4 hours & could have gone on further, it was fabulous. Thank you to all the for making us feel welcome & a part of your home. A superb refuel after an incredible waterfalls nearby. Amazing cafe with gorgeous club sandwich, coffees, ice cream and dog treats for us. Everything fresh and tasty, service, very quick despite being busy - would highly recommend ! We visited here on a Friday lunchtime on route to the four waterfalls walk. It is a beautiful restaurant/cafe, gorgeous setting, nice ambience. Plenty of choice on the from sandwiches, main meals, sides, coffee, tea, wine, beer, gin etc! My husband enjoyed his sandwich. The sweet potato fries were very nice. My reason for 3 stars is due to how disappointing my meal was. I ordered gammon, egg and chips. The meal came with a pineapple and red onion type of chutney placed on top of the gammon. The entire gammon just tasted of onion as the juices had soaked in. There was no mention of this on the and I specifically picked this due to a number of food intolerance I have (onion being one). I appreciate I did not mention this to the but often when I do I am left with hardly any choice, usually a plain salad. So instead I tend to choose wisely from a menu. Sometimes choosing to eat something I’m intolerant to over another ingredient as it will affect me the least. I mean who wants to go out for a salad and pay for the “pleasure!”. Please consider adding descriptive detail to your menu, not just for intolerance reasons. Not everyone likes onion and it’s then very awkward to send something back. My girlfriend and I stayed here as a base for the Four Waterfalls hike, which is conveniently only a 10-minute drive away. If you’re planning a here, I highly recommend checking out the hike—it’s a stunning experience. As for the food, it exceeded our expectations. My girlfriend had the chicken curry, which she said was the best she’s ever tasted. I went for the burger, which was clearly fresh, with a generous portion size. We couldn’t resist dessert, especially with the fresh cakes on offer. The profiterole cake was delicious. The pricing was very reasonable, with two main meals, one alcoholic drink, and one dessert coming to around £45—a deal for the quality. The was top-notch. The waitstaff were attentive, checking in on us several times throughout the meal and always making us feel welcome. We stayed in the smallest room available, but it didn’t feel cramped at all. The modern decor and spotless cleanliness made it a comfortable space. The shower had excellent water pressure and temperature, though the shower space itself was a little tight. Overall, a fantastic with food, service, and location. Highly recommended! Lucked in with Thursday night night. atmosphere, delicious steak, couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. Nice little play list on the go too. Jam sponge and litres of custard, for the win! Diolch!!
