We stayed in this little gem, it is dog-friendly, which is perfect. Our room was absolutely spotless, quite huge with a comfortable bed and a comfortable sofa. the en-suite room was beautiful and we had a tv and tea/coffee making facilities. it was very relaxing. The evening meal and breakfast were both excellent, piping hot, large portions and presented nicely. All the were very polite, and helpful - and the food was very delicious. It was quite a pleasure staying here. The food was delicious. The peas were so tasty, the are proper homemade and my son said the chicken was the nicest he had ever tasted. Nice lounge restaurant off the bar. Good mains, had the chicken Tikka curry, with rice & plus a poppadom. Good portions size and home made chips. Very helpful staff. Live singer in the bar from 8pm and sounded good. Probably a one off but it was a bit shambolic unfortunately. They were a member of or two down, but there was half an hour delay in opening and the food was below par for the money paid. Hopefully a one off as we’d driven from Neath with high hopes and expectations from other reviews, so a little wasted trip unfortunately. Looking for a dog pub while out for a drive today, came across The Lamb and Flag, absolutely fantastic, the were amazing very helpful extremely polite, food was beautiful, I had Scampi and , fantastic home cooked and plenty of them, my husband had steak and ale pie cooked to perfection, lovely big chunks of meat beautiful, we where even given bowl of water for our Bella, and she was allowed to sit between us, will definitely be returning Nice clean and Ate here 2 days in a row. Not a great selection of beer. But the food more than makes up for it. Had the pie & one day, then the cheese & bacon burger the next. Excellent quantity and quality. Lovely pub. Very and locals. Nice selection of beers and happy hour was a bonus This place is brilliant. The is welcoming and nice the food is excellent and it comes in big portions, and the accomodation is clean and tidy and the rooms are warm and large. I feel so good here that i would always preffer this location over any premier inn or this kind of hotel. I highly recommend this place for stay overs, for food , or just a couple of drinks, it's excellent. Can't say enough of this lovely pub. Fantastic good, wonderful, high quality food at a more than reasonable price. I had the standard carvery which left me stuffed! The were brilliant, and efficient! To summarise, check out this traditionally English resteraunt for an amazing experience. I WILL be back! What can I say? An incredible pub. So homely with outstanding service! The beautiful landlady Hayle, her daughter and went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. I was there for a 60th birthday meal and we all had a wonderful time! The were incredibly friendly, nothing was too much for them! Food was really good. Defeated by a burger 😂 overall I'd happily stay here again! Thank you again ❤️ We had lunch here after doing the Four Waterfalls Walk on Wednesday afternoon. The food was delicious and one of us had a gluten-free requirement which was well catered for. Our host/server was very and provided a great service. We would definitely come back if we are in the area again. A delicious meal and service. We had steak pie, lasagne and liver followed by profiteroles and bread and butter pudding. Looking forward to our next visit. The are very and very helpful and will help you with what you need. Gavin the manager and Josh the cook are very professional drinks and food are very reasonable priced. Gavin will happily talk with you and have a laugh with you whilst on the job, which is very rare for member to do nowadays. I would 100% recommend this restaurant. It’s also child friendly. The greeted us as soon as we got through the door. The menu was easy to read and when we had our food it was exceptional and i can tell the chefs make their food with passion and joy thank you levi and taylor for the awesome food!!
