One of the Best Places To Visits in Isle Abbotts Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Several different walks all clearly marked. Definitely worth a wander round. Beautiful place, with a lovely heronry, with a hide you can just sit a enjoy watching the herons high up in the trees, there is also an abundance of our wildlife to see. Great place to relax. There's a short walk which dogs are not allowed on, and another that's dog friendly but very very steep with hundreds of steps. Free car park but donations welcome. Lovely small wood with lots to see. Good access including wheelchair route. Particularly liked the heronry hide. Can get a bit busy, choose your time to visit well Beautiful place, ancient woodland and a multitude of wildlife. Plently of parking and a nice hide to watch the birds and squirrels from Lovely little bird hide at the herony and 2 short walks one for dogs and one not Beautiful spot in Somerset, almost an untouched area. The woodland trail in particular was superb, absolutely covered in bluebells with plenty of wildlife to keep you entertained along the way. Done both the walks nice and easy with beautiful views and helpful if you fancy hiding from the sun for the day Part of it was closed due to covid, that part and another part is wheel chair friendly and has a good view of the country side. Did not walk the main route on our visit but the way we did go was nice woodland. We encountered a big decline towards the end of the more rugged part and the path lead to a road, so we turned back. Aug 2025. As visitors to the area we were not aware dogs not allowed so we tried the scarp trail which was closed until further notice, so sadly didn’t get to explore anything. Sad that we can no longer take our son here with our very well behaved dog. Our boy loved it here but our dog is part of the family. Shame on RSPB excluding families. the actual long walk was closed off but we sat in the bird hide and it was lovely Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
