Really lovely location, the windmills is fantastic and you have lovely grounds to surround it. Good parking across the road and nice pond and trail to explore at the car park when your finished with the windmill. Settled just on the outskirts of Elphin you can't miss towering gaint of a windmill with its white washed exterior. Definitely worth a visit ☺️ Enda and Megan welcomed us and were very helpful. We got a full tour of the windmill and Enda gave up a full history of it. Hopefully they can get the sails repaired in the near future and bring it back to its full glory. The old windmill very nice but across the road there is a nice bee friendly park where you can see poppy and all sorts of whild flowers, there are a few ponds with lily pads, and some picnnic area Fascinating working Windmill, well worth a visit. Friendly informative local guide/volunteer. Amazing restoration work on all aspects of the old stone building. A take you back in time museum also included with many old home items. Bonus a nice 6acre biodiversity park and walkway. On my doorstep and will be back to rediscover more. Closed today but still accessible. This is kept really well and the caretaker was in cutting grass and maintaining property. Was prepared to give me the history of the place and made me feel very welcome. .
