I can't this enough - Mike is an guide, the and guidebook are incredibly reasonably priced, the museum is top notch... Seriously. If you're interested in Irish Mythology, Samhain, archaeology, geology... If you're interested in anything, this is a must-see Absolutely fantastic value and a treasure trove of interesting and educational knowledge of the land and lore. Our guide, Mike, was incredibly engaging and really made our small group feel like a collective despite us not knowing each other. The content was very deep and ranged from factual dates and times all the way down into some pretty deep dives of mythological lore. The information was not only presented in an easy to grasp way but was woven with colorful wordsmithing. To be honest, one of my primary goals while I was visiting the island was to visit the of the cats, and even though we couldn't go deeper due to an influx of CO2, it was really even sliding a bit into the to see the ancient carvings on the stone. Truly amazing. Very enjoyable experience, Elaine our was informed and very clear to hear her. I would definitely this for anyone wanting to learn and see the history of Ireland. All staff were friendly and helpful thank you for a great 😊 Living in Longford I passed the centre in Tulsk with the Bull on it. So I visited Rathcroghan with my twins 11 and 9 year old. It was a great from start to finish. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The exhibition was very informative. We travelled to the site which was only 10min drive from the Center in Tulsk. The Mike drove us and interacted with all present including the children. The story’s of the past kings and queen Maeve, the story of the bull raid and subsequent fight really kept all entertained and informed. The continued with a visit to of the cats with more great story’s and information about the and concluded with a visit down the with Mike. Well done would really it The was amazing, it was full of such stories. Our from start to finish was so enjoyable. I loved the gift shop too we picked up lovely trinkets and books. Our was so lovely and engaging. We also got to walk so closely to so many sheep and lambs was a lovely experience. Although due to co2 in the you can't enter but you still get to go into the entrance which was such a cool experience! Would highly recommend. Friendly staff. Mike was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We travelled a long way to go on the and it was well worth it. Fantastic tour, highly it. Our Mike blended Irish mythology, folklore, history and archaeology into an exciting experience. Loved every minute of the and the exhibition afterwards back in the centre This was an unexpected gem and the highlight of our holiday. Mike was a world of knowledge and wisdom, he delivered the information so well. Ancient Irish stories and mythology can be difficult to put together for the uninitiated but he did an job guiding the group through the life of Queen Medb and that period in Irish history. Highly We just spent three days exploring Roscommon and Rathcroghan Visitor Centre was the highlight of the trip. Our Mike was superb, full of knowledge and his passion was contagious. I had 4 kids with me from 22 down to 10 who thoroughly enjoyed it and who asked to buy the book in the gift shop they enjoyed the so much. This is a must on any trip to Roscommon. Two of us had a great of the Rathcroghan area, one of the most important centres in ancient and early medieval Ireland. Elaine, our guide, explained the landscape and history, striking just the right balance of archaeology and mythology. Highly recommended. The cafe ais also a great place to take a break before or after the tour. My wife and I really enjoyed the with Mike. He was really knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining all-in-one. The two hour concentrated on two main sites, that were really accessible and well maintained. There was so much history, mythology, and folklore to listen to and learn about, just make sure you bring suitable clothing and footwear if the clouds break! :) I booked the guided tour. Mike, our guide, was friendly and full of information. After driving around to the sights we spent some time in the center watching the video and reading the displays. Finally a nice lunch in the café. Dress appropriately for the weather.
