Unbelievable scenes, the photos do the place little justice. Be prepared to spend a full day there to really take it all in and it helps to wear proper hiking shoes! It takes about 2 hours to get from the starting point to the lakeside. We walked on a rainy day and enjoyed it very much. Don't forget to take food and delicious beers with you. There is a cafe by the lake. The view is unique, the road is enjoyable. 🤗🔥🇨🇭 an absolute beautiful place, great hikes and things to see, definitely a must do if you have the time and you are in the area. if you have time and want to, you can do a couple hikes that bring you to the top of the surrounding mountains to have a different perspective of the lake. One of the best places to visit in Switzerland. You can take a car ride for 10 minutes, followed by a 30-minute walk to reach Oeschinen Lake. The car costs 24 CHF one-way or 32 CHF for a round trip. If you have a Guest Card (ask your host to send it to you for free), you'll get a 20% discount. If you prefer to walk, keep in mind that some trails may be closed during winter. Make sure to check with the staff at the car station about any risks or avalanche warnings. Generally, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Oeschinen from the base. Parking behind the car station costs 1 CHF per hour or 8 CHF for a day pass. The hiking is prohibited, and at last keep it clean and preserve our nature. This is gorgeous! I would visit this place over and over if I lived in the area. It's a fairly easy hike, on what's mostly an unpaved road, to get to a spacious viewing point. I brought hiking poles, which did help me at times. The terrain has small inclines and declines and is not rocky. The trail is obvious, wide and mostly unshaded. There is a section of the trail along a tree line where you may get shade at certain times of the day. Several people at the viewing point had small dogs on leashes. There are other, smaller trails that branch off from the main path. I didn't go down to the water, but that part of the trail looked quite steep. The cars that take you to the starting point are very smooth and quiet. The cars have seats on both sides so you can face the mountain or the open sky. There is a cafe and food at the top of the lift/start of the hike. I visited Oeschinensee, Switzerland in Aug 2024. This is located in the Erchi Noen Valley, at an altitude of 1,578 meters above sea level, with a water surface of 1.11 square kilometers with an average depth of 34 meters. The deepest point is 56 meters deep. Transportation, can go to Gondelbahn Kandersteg Oeschinensee AG car station. And walk to the for about 15 minutes. In the area, there are cows hanging bells, walking and grazing. There are rowing boats for rent. In addition, there is a waterfall flowing down to the lake. The water is clear and blue. What a picture. It‘s really beautiful. Amazing place! A mix of rare nature location and modern infrastructures. The walk to the is varied, and changes between accessible and challenging which can fit everyone. The is beautiful and we were fortunate to enjoy the toboggan, which was so much fun. Highly recommended. We had perfect weather and it was absolutely wonderful 🌤️ We arrived from Poland with two dogs, who had no trouble riding the car to the top with us. The lady at the ticket machines was very helpful and friendly, giving us a trail map and an information booklet I was very pleasantly surprised by the awareness of people bringing their dogs to this place. The dogs were in harnesses, either guard or sled type, and always on a leash or training line. Passing on the trail was always done in a curve, which reinforced my confidence in this awareness 🧡 We happened to visit during a holiday, so we expected crowds. It turned out not to be crowded at all, and we found a parking space without any problems. Most people were hiking around the or renting a boat, and fewer people were heading up the mountain. We didn't bring any food with us—if anyone plans to hike all day, I recommend bringing a few sandwiches. We bought quick snacks at the shop at the top. You can buy hot drinks, cold drinks, and bottled beverages there The views were great, and the memories even better. The human part of our group was delighted, and the dogs even more so. Highly recommended! 🏔️ Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
