Easy walk to the lake, if you want to go the upper trail, then be prepared for good energies. 📍 Hiking Path to Oeschinensee 🏞️ Kandersteg, Switzerland A breathtaking that absolutely lives up to the hype! We took the gondola up from Kandersteg and followed the toward Oeschinensee. The walk was filled with alpine charm—lush forests, mountain streams, and panoramic of the surrounding Bernese Alps. The itself is a jaw-dropping shade of turquoise, especially on a sunny day. There are a few route options depending on your pace: we chose the full Panorama Loop Hiking Trails, which offers postcard-perfect scenes and fewer crowds. The is well-marked, moderately challenging, and well worth the effort. Solid hiking shoes are a must, and starting early helps avoid clouds covering the peaks later in the day. The is beautiful, and the reward of getting to see the is certainly worth it. While we were walking back, the was under construction, which made things a bit confusing. I wish the map was clearer so that it was easier to understand. However, I felt safe the whole time and never thought the detour route was dangerous. It is a good workout and will take a while. The drive to the parking lot was a little confusing with alot of roads being closed but it was worth it! The walk down to the was easy and the were spectacular. Viele Wanderer sind hier unterwegs. Der Weg selbst ist nicht all zu lang bis zum See allerdings ist er staubtrocken und verläuft zumeist durch pralle Sonne ohne einen schattigen Platz wird es hier schnell unangenehm. The walks here are not the most difficult, but the shoes should be suitable for the mountains, trekking poles are desirable, but many people walk without them. The here are incredible! Cable Car was out of service, but could up. Steep, invigorating, but did it with two teenagers in 1h10 minutes. Beautiful up top, nice surroundings mountains with snow. Worth it This was an amazing hike! And my amazing pregnant Swiss friend was the one leading us together on this together with dog. We decided to take the cable car up & down while focusing on the around. The weather was rather foggy so the pictures turned out a little grey but in actuality, it was still a breathtaking view! The route we took went up and around the mountain across some waterfalls and down towards a meadow of cows! It was relatively doable but be sure to wear proper hiking shoes with a good grip, it can get pretty slippery on a wet day. Along with going downhill, the rocks did slip and slide and we did stumble a bit. However, every step, every stumble was all worth it for the picturesque view from the top! There are lovely picnic spots around so pack a sandwich, some chips, some drinks and find a spot and enjoy the view! Wow wow wow. This is better than the pictures. I recommend the long (not just along the lake) and going clockwise for the best views. Breathtaking of the oeschinensee from north side We went the loop around to get to the lake. You have the go thru the village down a bit until you get near the Nordic Arena. That’s where the starts. The first 30/45 minutes is steep but lovely. Until it gets easier. Very quiet. It’s a much more quiet, scenic path to get to the lake. We took the gondola and then did a 9km with 600m elevation and breathtaking of the lake! Worth every frank! It's beautiful place, I did the panorama loop hike, clockwise. Apart from a 15ish min steep ascent at the beginning the rest was easy. For me the is worth much more on a clear day or perhaps with some low clouds/fog mixed with sun. With the sky fully covered with clouds the loses its vivid colours. A beautiful with stunning views. You can take 1 hour 20-40 minutes hiking/walking from Luftseilbahn Kandersteg Station to Oeschinen Viewpoint. Return way only 1 hour 5-10 minutes. Enjoy.....
