Beautiful. Sadly we arrived very late so the blue color was both so impressive. If you stay in a hotel nearby you receive a discount card which applies here and gives 50% off. It’s hard to believe this place has existed for over 15,000 years. Absolutely stunning and preserved nicely. If you like hiking through a tranquil and lush forest with a clear blue fully stocked this is for you. They have a with a glass bottom and there’s a playground area for kids and a cookout area and lounge chairs placed all around to take in the views. A very location: a of incredible color, forest, mountains, a river, a waterfall is visible in the distance. But, to my regret, it is very "popularized". Lots of tourists and infrastructure for tourists: from playgrounds and a grill right next to the lake, to rides on the lake. All this, in my humble opinion, significantly reduces the impression and enjoyment of the unique natural beauty that this location is so rich in. Of course, it is convenient when you can get hot tea or go to the toilet right there (although, it would not be difficult for me to do this near the entrance - it is a leisurely 3-5 minute walk to the entrance), but when the whole area smells of a grill and there is smoke, in my opinion, this is too much. I also do not quite understand why smoking tobacco and cannabis is allowed in such places. The smell of nature does not penetrate through the thick cigarette smoke... If you still decide to come and visit this place, I would recommend doing it in the first half of the day: it is easier to find a parking space, there are fewer tourists and the view of the and mountains is much more (the sun illuminates this area for a very limited time during the day, since it is located between the mountains. So in our case, after 13:00 the sun had already hidden behind the mountain and did not come out again) Nice place! There is a that's more on the pricey side but super unique menu options. There is also a kids menu with nuggets an d pasta. There is also a playground for the kids. There is a nice nature trail hike option as well if you want to walk more. We came here for a quick stop but you have to pay to enter. I have a family of 5 and paid 33 CHF to get in. We'll worth it. The is crystal clear and you get to see some large trout. If Blausee is a tourist trap, it's the best curated tourist trap I've ever seen. Yes you have to pay 11 CHF per person to enter, but there's a included and the and its surroundings are very well maintained. The itself is small, but beautiful. It contains an abundance of fish, and the is very clear with a deep blue tint. A restaurant, bistro and public bbq place provide food and drinks (but you can also bring your own). Several clean restrooms are available. clear lake. You can do a hike around the or a bigger hike nearby. You can also get some coffee in a small coffee house at the lake. There is a big parking lot nearby. Stunning place to visit with well sign posted routes of where to walk. The guide was very informative. Heaven on earth! There is also a cute cafe and restaurant. They also had some vegan options! It is just amazing here. I felt like I was on a retreat. Very calm and nice little walks in the woods. Entry fee was on 11CHF per adult. Our clients truly enjoyed the visit to Blausee. The weather was beautiful, which made the experience even more special. The crystal-clear lake, peaceful atmosphere, and surrounding nature created a perfect setting. A lovely stop and a highly recommended place to visit. A must see when traveling to Switzerland. It is so stunning in the Fall. We had a small cook out to eat lunch, and enjoyed coffee and cake in the little coffee shop. Bring and munchies and have a picnic....so worth it! Very nice place. The color of the is impressive, even in cloudy weather it is a rich blue color. Trout eats right out of your hands, this fish looks very aesthetic in this lake, but you can buy it in the gift shop. The itself is located in the center of the park, where you can take incredible photos as if in a fairy-tale forest. There is a restaurant, a cafe and a hotel here. There is illumination of the park and the in the dark, so you can enjoy this place in the evening as well. Really neat spot off the road. Visited in winter so nothing was open, but it was absolutely beautiful. Really blue ( as the name suggests) would recommend a quick stop here if you are traveling through. A Hidden Gem in the Swiss Alps! Blausee is one of the most places I’ve visited in Switzerland. The entrance fee is 13 CHF, and it’s absolutely worth it. The itself is stunning — crystal-clear turquoise surrounded by majestic mountains and waterfalls. You can enjoy a free across the lake, and the guide shares interesting stories about the history and legends of Blausee, which adds a magical touch to the experience. There’s also a well-equipped barbecue area with plenty of tables, grills, and even firewood provided — no need to bring your own! It’s perfect for a relaxing picnic with family or friends. For families, there’s a playground for kids, as well as a cozy café and a if you prefer to dine out. Highly recommended for nature lovers, couples, and families alike. The man who rows the around the was so friendly, highly recommend taking the free to hear more about the lake. There's a bus stop right outside which was very convenient. Make sure you check the bus timetables as they only come every hour (from memory). The surrounding grounds around the are too. Highly recommend visiting! The park and are simply beautiful. Hard not to awe at the beauty of this jewel at the heart of Switzerland. Although it is a somewhat tiny place, you will certainly enjoy any amount of time you get to spend there.
