Small free parking area. Lots of benches dotted around! There's a few different walking routes, I did the green one that says easy... I would say it depends on your mobility level. It does have some steep inclines. If you're in a self propelling wheelchair then you'd likely need a helping hand by someone with good leg muscles. Any motorised aids will be great to get around the trail. There are lower level near the water, but I'm unsure what the terrain is for those. Where you park up, there is a flat along the length of the lake and a bench to stop at. Ideal to listen to the woodpeckers and other birds whilst having a cuppa from my flask. It was very peaceful while I was there. No bins so you'll need to take your rubbish home but there are some tables so it's a great place to come for a walk. Good for kids and dogs with options for short or medium distance walks. Add them together for something a bit longer. It's a quiet area so parking isn't a problem in the marked areas. Nice place for a and great place for certain birds at the right time of year. Fabulous Perfect quiet beautiful scenery and lovely qalks Beautiful place for bbq and a quick looking for red squirrels, ever seen any though Found this place by chance and spent a lovely hour here. Easy walks/coloured routes. Nice place for kids to cycle (only one steepish hill). There is a small area with two benches. One seems to have a metal plate on it for portable BBQs. Unfortunately, the local midges loved me around the area 🤣 Well worth a stop off. Lovely place! Beautiful forest walks. Stunning scenery. Ideal place for a picnic. Try to visit the 'Gamekeepers Cottage'. The path to the left opposite the car park as you turn in. It's noted on the sign! Gorgeous cottage, set in idyllic surroundings. Shame it's boarded up. I would love to live there! Well worth a visit, lovely forest with designated areas, tables, lovely around lakes and woodland. Riding motorbikes past here and stopped for some shade on a warm day. Been a few times and will return whenever passing. Wonderful forest on logging tracks on the green route. My granddaughter took her bike and loved it. Some gradients but nothing too steep. We saw toads & newts in the pools at the side of the tracks. Other on the other side of the road from the parking area on forest footpaths. Stunning, lots of lovely trails to around. Lots of birds and bugs! Me and the family love it there! Free parking, very very quiet location, no bins, no toilet's, good parking, benches, beautiful walks, medium lake. 2 paths, smallest path takes 20 30 mins with young children. 2nd (longest takes roughly 1 hour relaxed walking, start of longest path has a slight inclined nothing major (im 38) this is very pretty (photos from july) Lovley and after, relaxed, chilled, quiet walk Highly recommend for with kids that walk, 4+ not pram friendly Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
