Amazing find, service and great food. Came here whilst on an off reading course. The bar decor is really interesting, the landlord super and the food homemade and tasty. Stopped here for an early Sunday lunch, without a booking, not a problem. The were great, the food was good quality with generous portions. Really enjoyed the meal here, from walking in and seeing all the motorbike memorabilia, to the fantastic food! Very and pleasant staff, and very reasonably priced. Car parking is across the road. Can’t recommend highly enough. Lovely! A lovely pub , overlooking a river . Or sit indoors and admire the quirky decoration of bike memorabilia. Food wholesome and good value Popped in with no booking but they were able to seat us. All were very and helpful. Food was beautiful and we didn't have to wait long. Would highly recommend! Stunning meal, popped in on the off chance and we were welcomed straight away and given a booth, really - we will 100% return I stopped here for the Sunday roast. The service was very nice and the prices extremely affordable. Food portions were good too. However, I was not completely happy with the Sunday roast. The mash was a bit lumpy. The flavours could have been better. Nevertheless, what was really good about this place was that they had a vegan option. They had a nut roast which my boyfriend ordered. He was quite happy with it. It's nice to see a vegan option on the menu. Popped in for a Saturday evening meal with my partner and was greeted with lovely decor and welcoming staff. Sat down in a very nice booth and ordered the home made curry with half and half chips and rice. and the mixed grill. Unfortunately the curry and the rice were bland. Unfortunately there was very little seasoning, the chips were lovely though. The mixed grill was hit and miss with the seasoning as some items were well over seasoned and some were not seasoned at all. The steak was not trimmed properly and a mouthful of gristle was not what we expected. I understand things can slip so hopefully our next visit will be better. Called here after a recommendation from a friend who's a regular. Also it's dog friendly, and we called after a country walk with dog. Staff, owners were very and helpful . Food was beautiful, mains, beef and Guinness pie was stunning, and lasagne excellent Treated ourselves to a desert to finish, high quality, super presentation. Called back a few more times, and food was brilliant once again. Wow, wow, wow, wow!!!! Absolutely stunningly beautiful food, possibly the best steak I've ever had!! Amazing little hidden gem that will be a must visit every time we are down! Beautifully decorated and quirky with lots of bike bits and bobs dotted about, lovely who are happy to chat with you.
