All the tables were clean and had menus. It was easy to order both on the qr code and in person. The food was delicious and better than either of us expected. The were friendly and professional. The toilets were clean and well stocked. Over all a lovely pub, we will be back. The are absolute stars. Very kind, helpful, and welcoming. No fault there. However, the food is hit n' miss. We only come because it's convenient and nice but the food is like a game of roulette. I ordered the "Meat Lovers " pizza, and I gotta say there's not a whole lot of meat or love. Compare this pizza to the other shown in the photos it's night and day. £13 for this? I can get handmade for less just down the road. Knives and rubbish sitting in the unmown grass and the seats were broken with nails sticking out. These are simple maintenance issues. With the understanding this was under new management we would expect better from Marstons. The clockworks is one of the only places locally where there is a children's play area. This is so useful for us. This means we can enjoy a family meal and the children can be entertained without having to resort to screens.
