Great little got loads of fun things to do and see .price to see not bad tells all the history of racing on pendine sands the interactive film is good would recommend this to vist Interesting place with lots of history of Pendine sands .. Bit disappointed that BABS was not on display... ( was one of the reasons to today) but still charged full price .. Short, but really good visit. Loved the information on the land speed record attempts. Also really enjoyed the display of photographs up stairs. Great value for money. Whilst Pendine Sands are rightly famous there isn't a lot to see or do there unless there is a special event on. The adds to the sands beautifully. A very interesting and informative place at a reasonable price where you can easily spend an hour indulging your love of fast cars. And see Babs. There are a few exhibits, plenty of information and interactive things for the kids. Well worth a look. 21/7/25: £7.50 entry fee but you can use and reuse it throughout the day you visit. It’s not particularly large a place and has relatively few exhibits but it gives you a good sense of the endeavours of the brave or even sometimes foolhardy who venture to go beyond the limits of others and their machines. Really interesting and informative museum. We were lucky to see "Babs" the infamous land speed record car there too. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you're interested in cars/ motorcycles. Great little museum. Lots of very interesting facts about BABS and lots of other topics. There is a few things to do for children too. I was going to give 3* but I decided that would be unfair as it's not an expensive entry fee. My reasoning is that when Babs (the record breaking old car) isn't on show, which apparently is quite often, there's not a lot to look at unless you're a major petrol head. And the big empty car-shaped space makes it look like the place revolves around Babs - I'd have been happy if they'd filled the gap with any sporty looking car or motorbike just so it doesn't stand out so! Plus, pretty much everything is behind glass, so it's almost entirely a visual experience. Risking seeming very uncouth and ungrateful I should also wonder why a so closely associated with Pendine Sands, which is around 10m away from the building, doesn't have much of a view of the beach. Some low level windows in the seaward wall would have added so much to the experience and put the exhibits in a proper context (and remember this is Wales so the weather outside isn't always nice for standing around). However, to avoid being too cranky I should mention it's clean, bright, modern and with friendly staff. Plus, the gift shop is nice, although it didn't have much in the way of 'pocket money' or 'tacky tourist' souvenirs (in fact, most of the shop items aren't much associated with speed or Pendine, but seem very good quality). So overall I have to say go as it's got to be high up the bucket list of any petrol head or speed freak. I just wish they had a bit more to look at, or even touch - just display some of Babs old spark plugs and oil filters and I'll be happier. Sorry! Quite expensive for what you get. Interesting info. New on TV. Real footage. Lots of information about the history of speed at Pendine, as well as having BABS on display. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful exhibition on the history of this place. Great to see Babs and lots of interactive activities ideal for the young and young at heart visitor. I even took my mobility scooter onto the sand for a spin. Very well put together museum, displays are very informative and the photos and videos entertaing. Tables outside for viewing the famous sands while drinking their coffee and munching on their cakes. Hard to beat. Had a great afternoon. Very interesting. So much information some nice moter bikes on display well worth a I was expecting a small, slightly dry of l am honest (my husband was keen to so l tagged along). But actually l was really pleasantly surprised. A lot of effort has been made with the design and layout and there was plenty to look at, watch or read. The photo exhibition of Amy Johnson was particularly interesting as well.
