Love this beach, so quiet and perfect for the dog. You can also go up away from the and do a loop walk around the farm and into the village. You can just walk around on the same forever cause there is always so much landscape and sand. We live near our coast, this coast is vast! Sand and mud flats, soft sand near the mudflaps, keep clear of these. The vastness of this area is beautiful with so much sand and estuary. The is not far. Great fish n chips nearby. What a day, temps of 25c, blue sky, blue sea too. parking, get there early during school holidays! We visited not busy, but so beautiful. Highly recommended. Pictures ,9 & 10, find the sand/rock eyes! Tempting to engage your children in the hunt for the 'Cliff Eyes' have fun, take a picture to remember the eyes...✌🏻😍 A lovely place to visit they got some huts that sell ice creams & fish N chips and a nice little play area for the kids if ya in the are go visit I didn't go up to the but the next time I'm down in the summer I'll take a walk up to it 😎 Beautiful beach. Easy parking, toilets, kids play area, dogs allowed, little place to buy simple lunch. We had our first ice cream sitting on the (these are dotted along the beach) and enjoyed the beautiful view. The tide was out and we had a lovely long walk along the beach. Perfect day out. Absolutely beautiful place. So peaceful and wide! It was a cooler more overcast day on my visit but I still loved it. There's even a castle! A lovely place to spend a day. We went with our granddaughter and she loved the playground on the beach, ice creams and climbing up the tower. It was great to go somewhere with parking and entrance to the castle. The grounds were well kept and we had a lovely picnic in the grounds with amazing views of the coast. Well worth a visit Lovely long sandy with easy access from the car park. Great place to walk along the estuary or up to the castle. There’s a children’s playground, toilets and take away cafe offering a good selection of reasonably priced food. We went down from the A40 - roads were a bit narrow in places but well worth it. Lovely long beach, peaceful & not overly busy. Toilets & car park. We went in August & when the weather was nice, the ice cream hut & fish & chip hut were open. We were only there Monday- Friday & we were disappointed that the cafe wasn’t open, it’s only open on weekends.
