Gibbet is a bit wooden T that's been replaced numerous times since it's last proper use. Maybe we should start using it again, the world might become a better place 🤔. WHAT A STUNNING PLACE. YOU CAN SEE FOR MILES AND MILES IN EACH DIRECTION ON A NICE CLEAR DAY. THE SUN SETS ARE TO DIE FOR. IT IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS UP THERE. I KNOW ITS RIGHT OUT IN THE STICKS BUT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WHEN YOU VISIT. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. Took a break from the normal evening routine 20.08.2025 and took myself here.. and who can blame me .. Been here many times before and each time it's breathtaking.. Great place for views across the country side, gets quite windy! Lots of walks cross this area so plenty of routes to explore. Although the history of this place is a bit grim as they used to hang people here, at least they had a wonderful last view of the whole area. I took my wife here and apparently I’ve now got 100.000 extra browny points ;) Go go go Nice Green Lane with a beautiful view from the top of the hill still has a hangman give it with extraordinary views on the right day you can see lots of different flip things bring a set binoculars, enjoy the walk and it's a great place to DX from. It's a perfect place to visit for short breakout and picnic with family. If timed with sunset (and you lucky to have clear sky :)) then it would so surreal.
