The staff were very friendly and helpful and there serving of meals excellent. Will be calling back again. Great "atmospheric" pub with low dark coloured ceilings and walls adorned with with nostalgic memorabilia of bygone times. Lovely buzz when we were there helped by the enthusiasm of the waiting staff who were excellent . The food too was really good, we had king prawns as a starter followed by roast lamb, really tasty. The lobster and Guinness was the highlight of our holiday. Possibley the best Wednesday afternoon in years. Oh, and the chowder was also divine. LOVE IT!!! If you are a Dub, this is what you get if you cross Johhnie Foxes with The Straberry Hall and that's a compliment. We loved our dinner crab and shrimp started followed by steak and fish mains. Paul was very attentive and they went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. Went there today with my daughter for some fresh lobster, and we were not disappointed. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly—made the whole visit even better.
