Some lovely presentations as well on the absolute horrors of war so that those that don't know may have some level of appreciation of why it shouldn't be the option. Absolutely brilliant and well worth a visit. The and his team are so friendly and experienced. Brilliant array of vehicles, weapons, equipment and uniforms. Everything in this has a story and the is only too happy to tell you about it. I am a member of a Motorbike Club and over 60 members turned up on the day. No matter what you think you know about history, you will learn something here. Speak to the and ask him about his Granddad, a strong man and story. Well done to the team, luv your work 👍🫶 I brought two brothers to (all 3 of us ex Irish Army) and we met with the proprietor William who very kindly brought us on a tour of the premises. William is extremely knowledgeable about the contents and we were very impressed by his helpful manner. I had been there before but this was more comprehensive and detailed. William is expanding the shortly and this is a "must go". It's easily accessible with ample parking and not far from Drogheda. Amazing exhibition. A lot of historical items from 1st and 2nd WW's. Also the has some late medieval times ammunition and weapons. The main parts of the exhibition were Soviet, American and German weapons, ammunition and even Vehicles!!! They got plenty of weapons you could hold and touch. Photo zones as well. place and time to spend with family and learn something for yourself and educate the kids about the history. Very recommended!!! Our crew had a time here today. While the act of war is abhorrent to me, it is part of and has been well preserved here. I’m very interested in industrial evolution and the has a wealth of artefacts. The displays are very well thought out with detailed information. A credit to the team involved. This place was amazing. We were met at the door by the Curator who welcomed us and told us about one of his newest acquisitions. Then, he let us hold it and examine it up close. There are several items throughout the you can pick up or sit on. The Curator made frequent contact with us to share stories about how he acquired an item, it's or how it was used. When have you ever been to a where you were encouraged to touch it. We visited this museum, and honestly, I didn’t expect it to be so big and beautiful. The can answer all your questions. It’s truly amazing. If you want to learn more about the country’s history, you should definitely this museum.I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful it is.By the way, you can also take a walk around the and get some small presents. Entry NOT free Fantastic display of items from all sides in recent and not so recent wars. Definitley worth a visit. Amazing and day out for the kids. We done our tour around picking up lots of fantastic information by staff. Then we went outside to see a shooting display and listen to the facts about the old guns and uniforms worn by staff. We then had a picnic in areas provided(indoors&out) we choose outdoor so kids could play in playground before we headed back in to finish off our tour. Was to do something different for a change instead of the usual cinemas, bowling ect. I would a here as the is fascinating. Absolutely excellent museum. Excellently laid out and an incredible collection, William the owners energy and passion for the subject is clear and for us this added to the enjoyment, recommended Wonderful place , friendliest and most accessible I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot!). The William is a gem, he saw my daughter was interested and gave us lots of his time. What a gem. 2.5 hrs walk around when inside look up look down look everywhere, you will miss something. It's an amazing lots of exhibited in one place. Try on uniforms guns sit in different vehicles it's really interactive for children. Friendly very knowledgeable. Loved it so did the family. We would have stayed longer only I got hungry. Pitched our bell tent out back in the campsite and used this as our base for the weekend. Lovely quite spot and would recommend. Thanks again collon for everything. Educational and fun for the children. A magnificent that is displayed brilliantly. The was more than generous with his time, and the children really enjoyed the interaction. Cannot it enough. This place is a hidden gem! The is unbelievable, and the hands-on interactions with really top it off. I would it to families and fellow Nerds like myself. The is an amazing person, incredibly knowledgeable, and adds so much to the experience. 5 stars just isn't enough! Absolutely outstanding. I cant even deacribe how insane this place is. So many guns you can actually hold in your hands, pull back the bolt, Remove the magazine. Any war enthusiasts HAVE to check this place out. One of the best museums I've been to. Lots of various original artefacts - and you're even allowed to touch some of them, which gives you a unique, immersive experience of history. The is very friendly and knowledgeable. Also, the is not overloaded with information, which helps a lot to focus on seeing, feeling and experiencing.
