Amazing spot for a massive Sunday dinner with huge portions massive steaks. Kids menu was fantastic I had the Valley Inn burger and it was huge first burger in a long time to almost defeat me . Cater for big parties and large groups and where amazing very fast to clear and to deliver the food . I for one thought the menu was a bit large and a bit pricey but then portions spoke for themselves . Worth a visit for a big portion meal to stuff you. By far the beast bacon Caesar I've ever had full of flavour and sauce and perfectly balanced. the only nice thing about this place is the decor. Food was bland and very obviously reheated and poorly cooked. Had a BLT and the bread was reheated, hard, and there's not even any mayo on it. Tomato and lettuce are old and dry, and the bacon... Well, there was no bacon. It was scraps of bacon and mostly fat. The chips were soggy and smelt of old oil. My partner had a tuna sandwich which was just tiny pieces of bread all stuck together as they dumped tuna over all them 3 pieces together and put a slice of cheese on them. Judging by what others also got in our table.. I wouldn't come back. The waiter done a ok service but she didn't have a great attitude.. not a welcoming feeling at all. Avoid this place as overpriced for what it is and idk how it has got awards when the quality of the food is really bad.. Enjoyed the food. Pleasant staff. Always worth a visit. Discovered this place by chance while driving from Dundalk to Dublin. Extremely happy with the hearty food and service. Ideal for family dinner, very spacious and comfortable place. Portions were generous and very efficient. Nice pub at the entrance. Love the style! We had a very delicious meal. The surf and turf consisted of a very well cooked steak, generous size and soo full of flavour. The prawns were served in a ramekin in a delicious creamy sauce. Fresh homemade chips and two big battered onion rings completed the plate. I highly recommend this place. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive on a busy night. Excellent food. Fresh, delicious, hearty & comforting. Love the roast beef on Sunday. The curry with half & half is also excellent. My young son goes crazy for the children's fish goujons. fish n chips takeaway. Have sit down restaurant too-which is on a cool day especially. As you can have tea & white Brennans pan too. Yum! 👍🏽 Staff super friendly & efficient. Good overall. Had lunch there, 1 roast potato tasted a bit weird and old but otherwise all good. Good service. Easy parking and easy to find the restaurant. Will probably go again at some stage. Dined here with friends tonight. Fab food. super friendly. First place I have eaten in a long time and no butter on baby potatoes or veg and was delighted with that (without having to request it not to be on it) Baked salmon was to die for. Hubby loved the chicken wings and said the burger was fab. Sizzler looked fab will definitely try next time. Will definitely be back. Delicious food, friendly staff, good quality generous portions, and a decent pint of Guinness. This is a fabulous pub and restaurant. We were a party of 30 or more people who were part of a pre-wedding party. We had booked the Smugglers Rest in Dunany but found out at the last minute that they had closed permanently. We literally phoned the Valley Inn an hour before we were all due to meet and they accommodated the entire group. It has a great menu, the food is and the service excellent. The were friendly and helpful. We had a great night. Thank you to the Valley Inn for rescuing our night out. Food was really and waiting were all delightful, (bar one when we gave him some well intended feedback about the additional needs access, possibly John with manager vibes). As the restaurant was full for Sunday lunch and we had no reservation, we were sat outside in the sun which was just lovely. There is a little path that runs from the back Carpark to the front of the building with a few unexpected steps at the end. We were right next to those little steps and witnessed at least 4 people with mobility issues navigate them with difficulty. All they need is to turn the steps into a little ramp or put a sign on the start of the path at the car park end to warn about the steps at the end or to say ‘no wheelchair access’. It’s a long path from the back carpark when you have mobility issues to be met with that… it looks safer than walking behind all the parked cars. Not a problem if you get one of the 2 additional needs spaces to the right of the building but these… the John told me, I assume referring to those, that he “rests his case .. they should not be using the little path”… seriously…. A level of ignorance I have not encountered in a very long time in hospitality. He would put me right off this place! We had our son's confirmation here a few months back. A restaurant with staff. Paul made us all feel very welcome and was so helpful to us. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed. Always a pleasure to go here. Thank you.
