We had a 60th birthday party at the Golden Goose and everything from the booking experience to the food and service in the night was second to none. Every member of our party of 16 really enjoyed what they ate, and the portion sizes were more than generous (I’ve never seen curry with so much chicken!). Competitors in the area will definitely charge you more for smaller, less tasty portions. The striploin steaks were enjoyed by many as were the burgers. Staff made the experience special by bringing out dad’s cake and singing happy birthday, and they were kind enough to allow us to have the cake for dessert at no charge. Dzenan, the owner, offered very personal service which added to an already great experience. Also worthy of mention is the €5 Guinness—not many places do that any more :) We mixed and marched our food with no problem, very staff. I was even cheeky and asked if they would change the channel on the TV so that I could keep up with Tennis. Again, no problem. We hope we have another occasion to eat there again. The new place looks amazing and the food was delicious. Had the carbonara and meatballs and my wife had the Caesar salad. Great service with a smile! This is one of those times when I loved every bite of every meal, everything was great, from appetizer to desert and cocktails. Cappuccino was amazingly good too. I don't know if this is the lovely company or the atmosphere or the skills of the chef, or, most probably, all of those combined. Also, 2 cocktails for $12 on every weekday... Great restaurant, highly recommended! Fantastic food and venue! I had amazing steak one night--some of the best steak I've ever had. Then I came back another night and ordered the fajitas which were excellent. The owner is lovely and the place is very family friendly. Fantastic place, food is very good value for money and the portions are very good, even for kids. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Couldn't fault anything, will definitely be coming back when passing through again! Got beef burger and burger. Both nice but no sauce in either, which was strange. Service very good and staff. Pricey for what you get. €17euro for bog standard burgers. Got desserts, too. Baileys cheesecake and Apple tart. Apple tart very basic and small. Cheesecake looked nice but average in taste. Didn't seem like it was homemade. All in all grand experience. Kids meals were good too btw. One annoying thing is they charged €2 for kids cordial drinks. That's just greedy...no need. Had a meal here for our baby girl's christening. Staff were very helpful and everyone enjoyed the food. Reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere. We would definitely celebrate another occasion here. When we rang to enquire for a table on a Sunday evening for four people, we were advised to book, that led us to believe that the place was packed, Well we were very disappointed! There was food left beside our table while three workers were walking around and just looking at it, when it was being cleaned she just swept the crumbs onto the floor beside us. 3/4 got the steak sandwich and it came already sliced and there was about 5 strips and not a steak knife which would be nice. The Cajun burger I wouldn’t recommend I’m aware it’s in the name but a bit less spices would be best to be enjoyable. And as for the chips they we’re supermarket standard (birdseye dippers) And the jug of dialuted orange to be charged €3.25 is disgraceful and when asked for wine the waitress just walked off we had to shout her back to tell her the type of wine we would like but did not arrive at the table. So will not be returning ever and after looking at other reviews I don’t think I’m alone on this.
