What a gem of a traditional Dutch mansion house. Set in beautiful formal gardens, it is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place to spend an afternoon. Has the most fantastic cafe/restaurant on site too. It also has a fun and marginally challenging maze to enjoy. Highly recommended. What a special place, with its beautiful & inside still set up for the period it was in. Seeing all the amazing old furniture & how people would have lived like was fantastic. Down in the kitchen & servants area was really interesting. Has a cafe there, we did not stop in . An incredibly beautiful royal castle, elegantly decorated and featuring a fascinating collection of Chinese ceramics. The gardens, café, and maze were all excellent and added to the overall charm of the visit. Exquisite manor house with wonderful rooms showing life at the house. Beautiful surroundings and gardens. Don't get lost in the maze! Beautiful and a well preserved house with lots of paintings and artefacts from previous tenants. Lovely little cafe too. A hidden gem! Beautiful gardens, friendly staff in the café and stunning museum. Easily accessible by car with parking right next to the museum. No matter your native language, the staff is able to accommodate you with information sheets about the details of each room in the in many languages (for example French, German, Italian, English etc)! The attention to detail in each room was breathtaking and well explained in the information sheets. Can highly recommend this for a nice weekend trip or for a special lunch at the café. Incredible full of well-preserved antiques. You can truly feel how one of the richest families in Netherlands lived in the 18th century. Take at least 2h to walk through each of the rooms and appreciate all the details and craftsmanship on display. There is an audio tour for 2€ (the paper guide is shorter and available for free). A great bonus are the next to the estate - they are being recreated following the original plans. The variety of plants is high. There is also a hedge maze. Benches are available throughout the so that you can sit, rest and appreciate the beauty. Next to the estate, there is a restaurant. We didn't have time to eat at the restaurant, but we did use the washroom inside (free!). The interior of the restaurant is also well decorated. You can buy tickets at the entrance, no big crowds, definite plus for me. Overall, great experience. Would recommend. Beautifully manicured gardens, So nice to see that the home is so well preserved with all the furniture from hundreds and hundreds of years ago, It was my lucky day, Someone was playing the pipe piano Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
