There are easier ways to get here, but it's most romantic to make the journey part of the experience of getting to this café at the end of the world. Cozy tables with soft rugs for table cloths, pictures of ships and the unique Wadden landscape everywhere. Friendly service and good food. The hot lemonade and rum chocomel hit the spot for us, and as vegetarians we were very happy with the spinach quiche with salad and fries. Homemade appeltaart was delicious, and the Waddentaart was good but much too sweet for my liking. It was to try it once, but I'll stick with the appeltaart next time. Overall wonderful and an interesting place to stop for a bite to eat along the Dutch northern dike. Very nostalgic cafe to have a cup of coffee and cake I love the ambiance and feel very much at home there It is a place to go and get a breath of fresh air on top of the dike and clear your head again. A lovely place to visit, and one which would be easy to miss as it is far off the beaten track. The host was very welcoming, especially as we had got caught in a thunderstorm and were sopping wet!
