Very unique experience. We decided to escape the city for the weekend and explore the Netherlands. We found this restaurant randomly and decided to try their Molenaar Arrangement - dinner with wine pairing, breakfast and overnight stay. Total for two people €370 Amazing! Dinner was spectacular! Wine pairing just perfect and we asked for the desert to be brought up to our room so we can enjoy it on the couch listening to the music. I loved it! Perfect romantic getaway and unique stay in a refurbished old windmill. Honestly - when do you ever have the chance to enjoy a super yummy 4 course meal in an old windmill?!!! What a treat. Everything, really everything was just amazing. When chef Martin came to ask what my favorite course was, I simply could not tell because each and every was just special and lekker. Every dish had a variety of tastes and textures, the ingredients were perfectly chosen. The waitress was very friendly and professional, when dessert was supposed to be served and I went to the restroom, the espresso was postponed so that it would be hot when serving!! Next time, we will stay up in the B*B rooms on 2nd floor and enjoy diner! OMGosh!!! We have been travelling Netherlands visiting family for three weeks now & we've had such an amazing trip so far, but this fine dining experience will be almost impossible to match. Martin Kooijker & his team just took our taste buds & minds to places we've never been before... If you travel to Groningen, it's an absolute must that go a small step further to Onderdenham. It was also a great gift from the weather - one of these warm cozy evenings to enjoy outside fine dining. We had full 7 courses menu with selected drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic as well). Everything was outstanding! Beautifully served and perfectly prepared. Looking forward to coming back during a colder season to enjoy a dinner inside as well.
