Whoever does the gardening is an artist! Small and informative - fun to visit in this area of Groningen to see how life was back in the day. Lovely museum with lots of nostalgia and beautiful reconstructed buildings that are typical for the area. We went here with my grandmother and the experience was nice. However, I hoped to learn a bit more about the historical aspects. However, there wasn't really much information displayed. Fortunately, my grandmother ofc did know some stuff. But still I hoped for a little bit more. You get to see the garden and it also includes a small "worker's house" and a farmhouse as well. Lovely "village" of different houses of the past all close together so easy to get around. Myself, husband and 14 yr old all really enjoyed it. There's the outdoor, how the people in Holland back in the day lived. And then when you're done with seeing the outdoors, you can go in to see their museum. It was all worth it. Very interesting museum about Dutch life in the Northern Province of Groningen in the 19°-20° centuries. Highly recommended! You can also have a nice lunch. A beautiful and interesting accumulation of old buildings and interior. The staff was really friendly and helpful, they even spoke very fluent German to us and had information files in German. We had our baby with us and could easily navigate through the museum with the stroller!
