Greens in poor condition, bare in places and had been hollow tined so difficult to putt on. Tee positioned on some holes poorly signposted and difficult to locate. Was in Great condition , and a very good test of golf. all staff we meet were great . They had corded / sanded the greens the day before. So was a little disappointed ,but they weren't that bad. But we were given a discount on green fees which was nice. The only thing I would say they could do better is , if first time on course , some of the holes / tees were difficult to find/ work out where you were going. They could sort out a card with a map of the course on. Or They could put some numbers on marker posts to help.as some fairways were joined,and had out of bound markers on. Would play again. Really enjoyed Holywell. Would have got closer to 5 stars had the greens been a little better. Very friendly members. I wish you all the best. Challenging heathland course.
