NICE food. pleasant owners and if you can't find so.ething there happy to help Read some great reviews so thought we would pop down ourselves for the carvery. The turkey was fantastic and moist. The veg was amazing cooked to perfection in my eyes. The gravy was on of the best gravy I've had from a carvery. It was a lovely little spot for a nice quiet lunch. I would highly recommend. The were super friendly and helpful, job well done guys ! Defo will be coming back. Had a decent experience at this Sunday carvery. The price is £22 for a Pepsi and a large meal. The food was average, and they unfortunately ran out of pigs in blankets. On the plus side, free parking is available, and the atmosphere has a nostalgic 90s feel. Overall, I’d consider visiting again. The food was really tasty particularly the gammon. You can pick more than one meat which I think is nice. The choices are pork, turkey, ham and beef. You can put as much veg, gravy and sauces on as you wish. The only issue was the service was a bit slow. There was a massive queue as there was only one man serving everyone. He was super level headed though considering how stressful it looked. Other than that can't really complain places is really nice and price is decent Lovely pub very friendly courteous and polite staff. Lovely lady Erincshowed us to our seats. Have eaten several times here. Excellent also do fantastic burgers. Great choice of menu and very reasonable .we booked a table as it can be very busy during the weekend but didn't need to book during the week. Would highly recommend a visit abd download their Stonehouse app for great discounts Visiting Wales for the weekend and passed this pub for breakfast. The atmosphere in this pub is lovely and cosy. The are friendly and helpful. Craig was attentive and polite. The food is delicious! Will definitely be visiting again and recommending to other people. Was told there was no unless we had booked. We then booked online and reluctantly let us have the but were very rude about it. This was the lady that greeted us at the door. The lady that took the order at the bar was not rude. The mash was very lumpy. The gravy which I poured all over my dinner had a burnt taste which made my dinner taste awful. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat the dinner then so had to tell the about the issues but meant that none of us had our evening meal and it was snow too late to go anywhere else. We still had to pay for drinks. My son had a chicken burger off the children’s menu and it was plain chicken breast which was burnt and hard. He didn’t like this but my youngest daughter ate some as she didn’t like the gravy. The whole experience felt awkward as the kept glancing over making me feel uncomfortable. Looking at the other reviews, it seems a lot of others feel the same and the response seems to be a copy and paste response that they don’t seem to take on board what the customers are saying. Constructive criticism is a way to help improve future experiences for customers. I hope that they will listen and improve things if we and others visit in the future. I do mystery shopping part time. Luckily this wasn’t a mystery shop but if it was, it would not have been very successful on the restaurants side of things. Booked a table and when we arrived we had a very friendly and warm welcome by Neil and kara. The food was delicious and as we eat there on a regular basis noticed the difference from the previous servers. This was a vast improvement and they service and greeting made our meal even better . Great work Neil and Kara, see you soon for another great atmospheric meal x Keep up your great work and ir was loverly to meet you both x Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
