A bit of breakfast and a drink before the long drive home. Food was as you'd expect, your average pub grub and Costa Coffee. Not necessarily cheap but then you are on a holiday park. The pub itself is well maintained and looks pretty good, and it was to have a waiter that had a personality and enjoyed his work. There is a lot worse you can do. Worth a visit. We visited for breakfast and dinner, plenty of tables available for breakfast around 9:30am so no need to reserve. I would recommend booking for dinner as it gets with walk-ins. You can book on the Haven app or in the pub. You can use table service (it can take some time if it's busy) or order by using the app and menu - check you have a table number if outside! WiFi is available in the bar and extends to the seating area outside, some signal possible on the park to. The cocktails price but are terrible, either out of a can or pre made with hardly any alcohol, stay clear in my opinion. We told one of the waiters how poor the cocktails were (just feedback) and he knocked some cash off the bill 💵 which was nice of him. The food was ok and tasty, reasonabley priced. The cleanliness I'd say is 3 star, tables are slowly cleared and the one we had pre booked needed a wipe and was not set up for our arrival. Toilets within, with disabled access ♿ and baby change ready. Summary: for a bite to eat if you can't be bothered to travel out. Pizza 🍕 is the best option in my opinion, they looked and tasted pretty 4 star ✨⭐ skin on fries 🍟 👍 If you found this review helpful please give it a like ✅👍❤️🌞 Disappointment, it looked promising and the staff were chatty, smiling and said we are posh restaurant.....The food looked but they brought the wrong orders, we ate as we were hungry but again, chips cold and mushy, pannier on fish soaked with oil and the chicken dry as Sahara. The bits, spacious, nice looking interior, outdoor seats with glass panels to protect you from wind gusts. Fabulous holiday situated within some of Yorkshire’s finest scenery, beaches and walks. The itself is one of the smaller Haven sites. It’s beautifully kept and is home to private and haven holiday homes. There is on site: swimming pool, private owners club house, show bar, restaurant, takeaway and activity barn. Your holiday can be as ad or as quiet as output want. The newest development is up on the lakes. If your looking off a more natural setting there are lots of locations on offering a more natural/rural surrounding. There is something to suit all ages. The is surrounded by natural beauty and offers access to one of many beautiful beaches. Stop berating this lovely family restaurant. It is run by haven it is obviously not Michelin starred. No idea why people expect Heston Blumenthal to have personally prepared their dish on an 18 karat gold plate… you get what you pay for (and more!) at this restaurant in my opinion. The staff are great with kids and always stay organised regardless of how it gets. The food is consistently nice. Stop being negative nancies and enjoy the meal you got. Cannot stand the pretentious old people at this caravan site. Spent my summers here all throughout my teen years and the only thing that’s ever upset me or ruined my experience is the miserable old freaks who have nothing better to do than bully kids and young staff who are just trying to do their job. However they’re a bit stingy with the rice… Can I just say I've looked at previous reviews about this place and thought, "Oh dear. DON'T LET REVIEWS PUT YOU OFF. Make your own mind up. 7 of us prebooked, very night. Was told after ordering. A 45 mins wait, which was not to bad considering how it was, (why don't staff tell you before ordering) it's not as though I paid there an then. Kids pizzas bit small but only £1 so in my opinion a buy. Elder grandson loved the burger, daughter and wife enjoyed the lasagne. son inlaw ordered pizza which he enjoyed and I got mix grill. Yes you have to pay extra for the egg, which does say on the menu.. just increase the price and stick it on. All in all not the worst by any means, meat cooked as i asked, chips cold which let the dish down, but considering as I said earlier table of 7, they did pretty good. Staff were very but made us feel welcome. Would eat there again even though as most places a bit pricey The food is nice for lunch or tea meals. I don’t recommend the breakfast or pizzas avoid. But rest of it is nice food. Portion sizes have seem to gotten smaller by a lot this season but I believe it has been taken over by a different chef or something this season so this maybe why. Fair prices but with us being owners we get discount so may be expensive for a large family whom just visiting the site. Not somewhere were we would eat all the time just now and again. Drinks are fair prices though. It’s the kids eat for £1 during set days and times which we love. The staff do go out their way to help with anything you require like extra help carrying drinks to table or clean the table if it’s still dirty. My only really negative is the high chairs they are always filthy when we go in and we have disinfect it ourselves before letting our youngun go in it. That meal in pic £14.98 to give people an idea of price and portion size which is the boneless chicken bucket. Does come with coleslaw which was put onto my partner plate as don’t eat it and a pot of garlic mayo too. As a group we couldn't fault the service nor the atmosphere. It was friendly and welcoming even with a large group such as ours. £20 for two adults Sunday meals isn't a bad price. The downside came with the food. We were not expecting Ritz level but I think the bare minimum for any cooked, served hot meal... is that it's cooked and served hot! The veg was hardly cooked and if not for being hungry, we likely would have returned most of the roasts, though we left a lot of the carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. The other food everyone else had was fine but the roast meals could have done with more attention.
