RSPB Bempton Cliffs

Bridlington, United Kingdom Nature preserve

One of the Best Places To Visits in Bempton Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. This is an amazing place, even if you do not know much about sea birds. There must be thousands of here, nesting, flying, feeding etc. There are a few viewing platforms, but you will need patience and a camera with a long lens if you want good close-up photos of the birds. There is an excellent cafe and shop. There is a lot of parking, but it can get very busy, especially if people are coming to try and get a glimpse of the Puffins. First time here, really lovely and peaceful place. Was hoping to see puffins but probably too late, still had a good few hours here. Can smell the gannets before you see them. Good viewing platforms. Staff very helpful in the centre. Great cafe, bit expensive on the cakes, but probably the normal now. Such a beautiful place to visit, while in Scarborough. While entry to this site is free for members, there is a charge for adults of £8.00 each. However, this goes towards ensuring this site and others are protected for the future. Visiting today was made even better, with the wonderful weather and clear, blue skies. You don't have to be into bird watching, to truly appreciate nature. There are walks all along the cliff tops, with viewing platforms at various points, and the opportunity to view the different there, such as the Gannet and more. Even though we visited on a weekday, there were still a lot of people out. However, this didn't stop us, from enjoying the views and we didn't have to barge our way onto the platform, in order to get a good view. There are a number of benches as well along the trail, along with picnic tables and a visitor centre with a cafe and toilets. We were here for a couple of hours and brought our dogs for a walk, although they must be on leads so as to endure the safety of the wildlife. All in all, a lovely place to visit and appreciate how beautiful nature really is. We are new to RSPB and this is a sight that has been mentioned to us on numerous occasions so my husband and I decided to pay the site a visit on a trip to Whitby. FANTASTIC, the facilities at the visitors centre are good, toilets, cafe, shop and picnic tables. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Wonderful walks and the didn't disappoint, Gannets galore it was great to see. We will be back. Had a fabulous day out. An Unmissable Experience for All Ages A truly fantastic destination for nature lovers and families alike. With accessible viewing stations, a charming café, and exceptionally welcoming staff, every moment here is a delight. The expert guides are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience all the more enriching. The sight of puffins, guillemots, and razorbills alone makes the trip worthwhile – but the gannets steal the show, soaring close by and looking absolutely magnificent. This is a place you’ll want to return to time and again – I certainly will! And if you’re an RSPB member, entry is completely free – just another reason to make this a regular spot on your calendar. Absolutely stunning, amazing views. Great safe viewing platforms for looking out at the sea and bird colonies. Friendly and helpful volunteers, managed expectations well on what can possibly be seen (e.g. Puffins had left the area as they are usually there earlier than end of July when we visited). Cafe is clean, nice food and friendly atmosphere. Prices slightly higher than some places however quality and freshness cant be faulted. Lovely time walk along the cliffs spotting the sea birds. We were also treated to an amazing rainbow and whale sightings! The volunteers along the cliff top were lovely and informative! Beautiful place, sea galore, we even saw a pod of dolphins, what a treat. Cafe very relaxed and shop well stocked. A lovely lady gave me advice on binoculars within my budget. We also bought a lovely soft puffin toy for our 1st Grandchild. Will definitely be coming back.
