I popped in here and was amazed at how much fascinating memorabilia has been packed into this place. So many classic race and superbly restored road on display, along with so many medals and trophies from Jim Snaith (local legend). If you like motorbikes and are in the area, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. It was a privilege to meet Jim and listen first hand to some of the events he had taken part in. The house is unique and a shrine to motorcycle racing. It's well worth a detour or in our case a specific journey. A nostalgic to Silloth after my initial and introduction to Motorbike 50 years ago. The race track is long gone but this little run by past racer and enthusiast Jim Snaith is brilliant. We spent a lovely hour talking about and with Jim who is a lovely friendly and knowledgeable man. A long journey but we'll worth a if you like and you are in the Lake District. I wanted to this for many years and finally got there . It was well worth the wait , fantastic classic and even more memorabilia from racing. Jim is an interesting guy to chat with who clearly enjoys every aspect of and takes the time to chat with everyone who drops in . If you love motorcycles and you must go here and chat with Jim. Too many nice to pick a favourite but the Honda 750 four is hard to beat. this is somewhere you can go back to several times and enjoy it like the first time Great little very informative nice people dog friendly Cracking wee place, so much to look at! It is a small museum, however the knowledge and how friendly you are made to feel is amazing, a must for any biker or motorbike enthusiast.
