The campsite has lots of space and a well maintained sanitary block. I deduced 2⭐ for the paid showers. It's stingy to charge extra for basic necessities after already charging £20+ for the night. Edit: All other campsites we've been to offer free hot water via the push of a button (which turns off automatically). People who are too old/frail to press a button shouldn't be the target group of a campsite. Camped with a small tent and car for £19. Showers are 50p for 8 minutes. Friendly staff, and quiet park the night I was there. Bathrooms were very clean. As they are close to the ferry they are able to accommodate late arrivals! I spent eight nights at Aird Donald for the Skiffie Worlds in July. Great family run campsite, in a peaceful setting and very well maintained. Thank you Margaret and Stewart for looking after us so well 😊 Camped, spacey quiet pitch with good surface. Very nice welcome, owner looked after my rucksack for the following day until my train back. Very handy 15 min walk to town. Clean toilets/showers. Very good value for 12 quid. Very handy overnight stop for ferry. Cycle and tent friendly campsite. Perfect stop coming from the Cairnryan ferry. Well appointed, quiet and clean. Good facilities and close to Morrison's in town. Pods are available if you fancy a tent free night. We were made to feel welcome and we would visit again. Last minute one night stop in our motorhome, good welcome at reception and was directed to our spot with full explanation of facilities. Nice clean toilet and shower block, also separate pot wash area. Would recommend Very well maintained park. Clean amenities. Friendly staff. Quite location. Level tent pitches.. had a fantastic five day stay.
