Castle Kennedy is a breathtakingly beautiful place that feels like stepping into a fairytale! The well maintained are a stunning mix of vibrant flowers, serene water features, and picturesque pathways. The views of the castle ruins add a touch of history and charm, making it a unique and memorable experience. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful walk, a family outing, or simply relaxing in nature. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend visiting this hidden gem. it’s a true haven of beauty and tranquility! Kept meaning to come along here when we're down this way and finally decided the weather was beautiful and for 6 quid entry each it was a steal. The are absolutely gorgeous, the walks give way to amazing views in an idyllic setting. The green is listed as 2.5 hours, but we achieved it in around 1.5 hours walking at a normal speed including stopping to sit and take pictures. Very much worth the visit and there is a small café on site for a wee coffee and cake. Lunch is between 12 and 2.30, but cakes available all day. Beautiful place, highly recommended for a around the gardens. One of the best ever! Plenty of walks, many different sections. Great day out for the familu. Worth every single penny to get in. Beautiful place, stunning views, amazing walk, just lovely to get lost in, as well as little tea room and gift shop at begining or end on site... Two castles within the ground to look at too definitely worth visiting. Beautiful and countryside to explore A visit to Castle Kennedy in the warm May sunshine is a delight to all the senses. The garden is awash with colour and scent from the rhododendrons and azaleas and native hawthorn. There are bluebells everywhere and an abundance of beautiful wildflowers including early orchids. There are acres of wonderful trees including many rare and exceptional specimens. The sound of birdsong is all around and overhead buzzards and red kites soar in the sky. You can for hours around the grounds and lochs and hardly meet a soul. The staff are friendly and helpful and the café serves excellent coffee and cake. There is ample shady parking. Go visit! We went there for the pumpkin trail which was simple but great value for money as they got a custom package with a selection of sweets at the end. The are huge with glorious views of the hills over the lochs. It felt like a very unique little place. The castle is a great sight with it half covered with greenery but there is little information on its history. I'd highly recommend visiting here if in the area. Great place to have a and explore, really enjoyed it! The jubilee trail was a win for the kids. We were disappointed that workmen started to carry out maintenance on the sewage pipes at lunch time within a few meters of the outside dinning area, the smell was unbearable. This was the only negative of the day. A play park would also have been a welcome addition.
