This gardens and its tearooms are stunningly beautiful, incredibly pretty, full and colourful. Peaceful to the point where you can only hear the birds and wind in the trees. Sadly the flip side is that they advertise as disabled friendly, I was on a mobility scooter, the terrain was such that I didn't even get all the way around before my battery was done, anyone pushing someone in a wheelchair would need one themselves! The undulations are VERY steep and underfoot is simply bark chippings. Sadly not disabled but beautiful none the less. Fabulously varied garden. Really feels like someone's private garden (it is) but on a scale few of us could imagine. The Tree Trail is worth the visit alone. It's set over very undulating 105 acres! The Moorland walk at the back is mile length in itself. Easy place to spend a few hours. Great quality tearoom/cafe with a helpful team. Lovely tearoom, beautiful gardens, lots of different places to sit and admire the gardens. Tree trail, garden trail, moorland walk, wheelchair accessible routes and lovely staff. Dog but must be on leads. Bit hard to find, but once you do what a wee gem! So peaceful, lovely walks a lochan and lily pond. Lots of benches with views over Luce bay and beyond. You can book online for an extra 30p. Well worth a visit, and the tea room is lovely. The gardens are probably the best I’ve ever seen . Simply breathtaking.
