Went for the guided canoe tour, loved it to bits! Views from the river were just spectacular. Originally we booked for kayaks but got cold feet at the very last second (as in already-in-the-water last second) but they were very accommodating and managed to get us in a canoe. Our guide (forgive us, we've forgotten his name!) was great. Very patient and funny. All the staff were just amazing, to be honest. Visited Black Mountain with Carl and Anne greeting us and the to get us ready for our adventures! We were a of 12 wanting to get the most of our Welsh weekend away. The staff are outstanding as always and made us have the best afternoon. We paddled the river in the 'liquid sunshine' as rain isnt really something that stops us! Highly recommend using Black Mountain, its for adult groups, families, couples, whoever. Everyone really enjoyed the afternoon, and Mick was getting us to and from the centre! Thank you for allowing us to create some more fantastic memories! Had such a time here as part of a (joint stag/hen do!); we did the archery one day and canoeing the next. Daisy was our archery instructor and she was absolutely brilliant; she made the whole session really fun and everyone had a time! She gave us a variety of different challenges/games so it never became ‘samey’! The canoeing was too, unfortunately because of the recent rainfall we had to go on the canal rather than the river - which involved carrying the canoes over a road which was tricky for some! - but still really fun and the canoes were great, with much comfier seats than most! Would definitely come back here again for more activities! Thank you so much to Ali for our gorge experience today! We had this booked with another company for weeks & they cancelled on us last minute. Black Mountain were able to accommodate us and still kept our booking even though we were the only two booked on. Ali was extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots of history of the area. He kept us safe and provided an unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to book up again to bring our children! 5 stars all round. Thank you!! Had an absolutely first class experience of high ropes and archery. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and made our whole feel very safe. We were a of uni mates and the instructor was cracking jokes with us right through the activities and everyone had a stellar time. Highly recommend an adventure with Black Mountain Adventure for any holiday makers in the area! We went for the half day kayak hire and as it was during the week after Easter holidays/bank Holiday, we were the only ones and it was absolutely beautiful. Staff were extremely friendly. You're driven to the start point and everything's explained. You then kayak down the river where they pick you up a couple hours later. I went on my birthday and it really was so special, we saw so much wildlife on the river with us and it was incredibly peaceful. Was not difficult either if you have some basic experience with kayaks. 10/10 would recommend. Had a StagDo here recently, with a large group, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Raft Building. The staff are amazing, very friendly, very helpful, very fun. The activities were brilliant and enjoyed by the whole party. Highly recommened for outdoor activities whether a large or smaller group. Will definitely come back again. Me and my partner did the Gorge Exploring Experience that Black Mountain offers. It was absolutely amazing!! Our instructors/guides, Jake and Harry, we're phenomenal. They were lovely chaps, who were both very informative, fun, whilst maintaining high standards of health and safety. Absolutely beautiful trek too, not too long that we were knackered, but just long enough that we felt like we had done a significant amount. All in all, would definitely go again, and recommend the Gorge Experience to anyone who is even remotely interested in fun.
