Only had food and a couple of drinks here. Really nice riverside pub with great quality food. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable. We would happily eat there again. Food took a little while to be delivered but it was well worth the wait. Good portion size, food was all freshly cooked and tasted amazing. Staff were all really friendly. Definitely would recommend. First visit yesterday and will definitely be back soon. Beautiful pub, location absolutely gorgeous overlooking the river with so much amazing wildlife. We didn't eat on this occasion but will be back in a couple of weeks with our extended family. Overall a great visit thanks 😊 Went in for a couple of pint as we were stopping down the road. Noticed each time was a different price. When I asked I was told it was because I wasn't charged the right amount the first time. I then said well I should of been informed when paying for my next to be told "if you don't like it, get out of the pub". Not great or a professional way of handling it when I asked nicely. Would of stayed as views were lovely and some of the people we got talking to were nice. But attitude like that does not deserve custom Don't know what’s with the good reviews. It’s absolutely FILTHY inside. Tables dirty, floor sticky, cobwebs and grime everywhere. Desperately needs a deep clean and a repaint. If it hadn’t of been so late and everyone was starving then we’d all of walked straight back out. All sat there wondering if we’d even want the food when it came. The chips was nice but the burgers was all completely burnt to a crisp, disgusting. And all the Drinks were flat. And the menu on their site isn’t what you get there. So noisy from bar area as well which I can’t understand cause there was only like 4 people in there. Don’t waste your time or money. Five stars – Warm hospitality and great food! We visited The Boat Inn as a large group and were so impressed by how welcoming and accommodating the staff were – especially since we also had a dog with us. They made sure we had plenty of space and were really friendly throughout. I had the chicken and mushroom pie, which was absolutely delicious – hearty, full of flavour, and clearly homemade. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, and it made for a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends. After visiting this establishment a fair few times in the past I was very disappointed at the food and drink I had yesterday. Wanting a quick snack I ordered the cheeseburger. If I hadn’t been starving I would have sent it back. The burger was cremated and burnt black bits fell out of the bun when I picked it up. The draft Pepsi was flat. The chips were just soggy strips. It was mentioned to the bar staff when paying how poor the quality was. I know we won’t be going back there any time soon. I was hugely disappointed with lunch yesterday. Two options on the menu were not available, there are no vegetables included in the meal - seasonal vegetables at extra cost is not a remedy, the ham was literally mostly fat. We enjoy the view of the river and used to be regulars but will not visit again.
