Great place to eat. Set in the middle of a pet cemetery. Grounds are really & well kept. relaxing chilled feel about the place. The cafe is really nice, very clean & staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is exceptional, possibly the best breakfast I have ever had. Menu for the daytime food looks very too. Will definitely be calling back very soon. Amazing place. I loved it, a walk around with the dogs. Then a coffee and tea cake in the cafe. staff and great service We went out today for Sunday lunch with friends and couldn't have asked for a better meal my friends had 1 beef and 1 chicken dinner which I have to say was really and plentiful they have 2 size meals large and small I had the beef lasagne with salad coleslaw and chips and it's the best lasagne I have ever had all compliments to the chef we finished off with a strawberry cheesecake which was so delicious. so overall a place that is well worth a visit. the staff are so and polite and our waitress today was cloe she was so bubbly and bright full of smiles she made our time there so relaxed so thankyou for that and enjoy your 18th birthday. My son and I went to the cafe on what was a sombre day, after collecting our beloved Dog. The cafe was busy but they found us a table and made us feel welcome. Service was swift, polite and unintrusive. We had a Mocha and a Tea. To eat I had the Soup of the Day (Vegetable) and Tuna Mayo sandwiches. My son had the Welsh Rarebit. We were both delighted with our food which was fresh, tasty and filling. We also took away two slices of cake, but they are sealed so I can't show them!!! I'm sure they will be delicious. The value was great for the quality of food and service. The atmosphere was relaxed and the view amazing. A place. Went here today with friends. Food was lovely. Service was good. Place was clean. I'd recommend this place for food. Only small thing was last time I had cheese and onion quiche which was excellent. Wasn't as good this time. It was but not excellent. Overall, really place to go. Very food, staff are very friendly. Reasonably priced as well. Only criticism is the table and chairs we had are a bit worn/stained. Would definitely go back again. Amazing! such staff, the cakes were amazing !! Tasted perfect and homemade(also big slices haha) 😋 the food also was ceaser salad special was great even with warm fresh croutons! And the bottomless tea was perfect 😍 in such a location with views oh and the quiche was 10/10 Very disappointing experience after years of visiting This used to be one of our favourite tea rooms, but after our visit this weekend, we won’t be returning. We drove over an hour to get there, as we’ve always enjoyed it in the past. We came with a friend and her son, who only wanted about half of the adult-sized big breakfast. My friend didn’t want the other half to go to waste, so she decided she would share the meal with him rather than ordering another main that would be too much food. We were not offered a children’s menu (if there is one available), and nowhere on the menu, leaflets, or signage was there any mention of a “no sharing” policy. When my friend asked for an extra plate so her son could share the breakfast, the waiter initially said, “We don’t do sharing here.” After she explained the situation, he reluctantly agreed. However, when the food arrived, another waitress refused again, saying they don’t allow sharing and made us feel looked down on for even asking. In the end, we were not given a plate at all. From that point on, we were completely ignored, no one checked on us, and we had to ask several times just to get the bill. It honestly felt like the tea room would rather we each ordered a full meal, even if it meant the food would go to waste, instead of being understanding about a child sharing with a parent. We had ordered multiple mains and drinks (lunch for three adults and a child, around £60), and we had even planned to order cake, but the poor service and dismissive attitude completely ruined the experience. It’s especially disappointing as loyal customers who have supported the tea room for years. If you’re visiting with children or plan to share a dish, we’d suggest going elsewhere, there are plenty of tea rooms that treat their guests with more respect and transparency about their policies.
