Food was lovely here use to go quit a lot when I had a craving for a big king when I was pregnant I haven't been back since they had refurbished the place. Service was always good quite atmosphere clean and hygieneic . On the rare occasion I have a I do prefer king. Took my grandson here and got what we expected and of course got really messy! Sat inside with stunning views over the Dee estuary towards the wirral and Liverpool beyond. It was very quiet here at time of visit. Male toilets are acceptable, only two urinals but none set low for children. Kids meal had three nuggets and about ten chips in it for £3.99!. No toy or yogurt like McDonald’s. The girl working there needs to find a new job as she’s clearly not happy! It was like she didn’t want to help, speak, work etc at all! No toilets. Empty service station. I’d stop at McDonalds just before or hold out u til the next services. Pointless stop. I'm not a fan of king if I'm honest the chips are awful. Worse than KFC. But I was staying in the travelodge next door so I had no choice but to go here because they don't do hot food. As kings go this one was worst I've ever been. First night I had a cold, bland cheeseburger with them awful chips. Didn't they used to microwave their burgers just before serving. I never understood that but i do now. The second night I had a chicken royal with bacon. The wasn't even hot enough to warm the cheese never mind melt it. The cheese was freezing cold. And the bacon look raw. It wasn't it just looked raw. Both nights the burgers looked like they'd literally been throw together. I didn't even want to face them chips again so i just had the and ate a packet of crisps back in my room. I tried a variety of sauces to drown out the taste of the chips on the first night but they weren't much better. The best one was the sweet chilli and the worst was the hot and spicy. In short this place did nothing to convince me I should go to king more often. The staff were helpful though I'll give them that.. Lovely bunch of ladies here, always willing to help you. It's quite a small BK and they seem to be under staffed but the food is always fast and hot Toilets were out of order yet staff would exit the toilet while still fastening their trousers.... I wash my hands after I make myself presentable... I hope this was a simple nervers modesty check!! It's was kind of quiet which made food prep and speed the best! Freshly cooked, super fast must have waited around 5 minutes if that! Service was so warm, never had that in a fast food place before. Tasted delicious!! Excellent food and service.
