It's a great quaint little pub. Great atmosphere and lovely log fire. Only had something simple to eat. Scotch egg and chips. Was lovely. Will be back again! 5 stars...Found this place by accident but ate the best Sunday lunch we ever had... We had lamb and it tasted and fresh. Portions are enough for a person... Ambient atmosphere with ovens to heat up the place....They got a parking spaces as well..Highly recommended... One of the best pubs in south Wales without a doubt. food, real ale, a sense of history whilst also being a proper community pub. Lovely space outside to eat and drink, and just off the Wales coastal path for those who want to call in after a beautiful walk (hourly bus stop right by the pub) Great pub, dropped in for a quick pint and left four hours later after watching the rugby. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Stayed for some food, which was value and tasty. Definitely recommend, especially when the rugby is in Fantastic pub; loved throughout the community and visitors alike. Perfect place to stop off after walking to the beach. homemade and locally sourced food; great selection of beers - including alcohol free. Great atmosphere, friendly and excellent beer garden. holiday accommodation too. Family members have been visiting this pub for over 50 years. Today’s visit with 4 generations was rather disappointing. It appears to be under new management and all was a bit chaotic. We had a table booked but there was no table available. We were told other people could be moved but this didn’t seem right and as the sun was shining we decided to sit outside. The solution is simple .. place a reserved @time sign on table so anyone choosing to sit there knows they have to move at that time ! We ordered our drinks .. from a much reduced selection of beer than we have become used to. This pub used to be famous for its real ales OK Jemmima Pitchfork was on tap but we can go to numerous local pubs for Butty Bach and HB. We agreed the drinks would be added to our slate but shortly after we were reminded we hadn’t paid for the drinks. Like I said .. chaotic ! The menu was limited and maybe was trying too hard for what is primarily a walkers pub where all you need is a value pub food with a pint. Although listed on menu there was no vegetarian meal available. Neither was there a children’s option other than a mini version of the adults .. a 3 year old who had used loads of energy on the beach wants chips and not roast potatoes and beef. Having said all above the food was actually quite nice. Please P&H try harder .. you are in a brilliant location and need to cater for your main customer base and not try to be bistro pub. Maybe the landlord should check out how it’s done in the Gwaelod Y Garth Inn. Another walkers pub with fantastic beer and food choice. Stopped in at this pub after a coastal walk - it was atmosphere, very cosy and chilled, open fire, interesting history detailed on their website. Recommend the food it was quick, fresh and tasty, freindly and helpful management, dog friendly, parking available The plough and Harrow is one of our favourite places. The location is excellent the food is very with an extensive choice of guest ales and the staff are polite and accommodating. Well behaved dogs are also allowed What makes it even more appealing is the beautiful beach walk within walking distance through country roads and rambling woodland opening out to a beautiful beach. It’s an idyllic setting for a perfect day. We would highly recommend this place and we are already planning our next visit.
