Nice setting, road on the way up isn't ideal lady on reception on arrival was pleasant and showed us where our was etc, hot tub was nice and warm on arrival and the was clean, however lack of facilities 1 toilet roll for 3 nights stay, broken furniture, pipe work exposed in the bedroom and we had to pay for WiFi which I thought was disgusting considering we paid £600 to stay for 3 nights. The day we were leaving a maintenance worker was cleaning the hot tub 2 hours before we were due to leave we felt rushed to get out of there. Not a nice feeling and didn't sit well with us. Wouldn't return here due to these things. It could be alot better but it seems poorly managed. Lovely Scenery, Quite far from any local attractions and shops and no shop on site. Not overally staff. Very Quiet and Peaceful holiday park however absolutely nothing for children so I wouldn’t advise taking children and no entertainment. very basic and very small especially with the price we paid was close to £600 for 4 nights. Sadly we had to pay extra for WiFi to and also a £100 security deposit taken on arrival which took money from our holiday spending money which we weren’t aware of! Water Runs very slowly in the shower and not much water pressure. Awful Smell of sewerage at the bottom of the holiday park everyday we were there! Caravans could do with a makeover, smell quite musty and myself and my partner seem to wake up very itchy and we had a couple of bites on our skin. However some nice perks like a tea towel, Washing up Liquid, Shampoo body wash etc spare bin bags, washing up cloths and sponge on arrival! We had an ok time however we won’t be back unfortunately. If the staff hadn't been so absolutely brilliant, this would have been 2 stars. Every member of staff we spoke to was superb. The hot tub was clean and in good working order and it was nice to have a little veranda. The caravans are really squeezed in together. Luckily, there was nobody in the van next to us and over the road, otherwise we would have had no privacy at all. Due to the proximity of the other caravans, it was not exactly peaceful. We booked an 8 berth van that stated 'a pull down bed in living room'. There was no pull down bed, I simply slept on the sofa. Fortunately, one of our party was unable to come, so there were 4 of us. The accommodation was small, and 4 was enough. There was some mould in the bathroom, and the shower would benefit from a handle as the floor got really slippery. The was too hilly for my elderly mum to walk around comfortably (my fault for not reading the information on the in detail) and there is nothing off the within walking distance. However, there are plenty of places to visit that are easy to drive to. The park is immaculately clean and well kept. Again, I would like to praise the staff and their manner. I've stayed for the last 7 years now and this is the first time I was disappointed, I booked for friends 50th. They had changed the caravans over absolutely awful the latest ones, no storage, dirty bathroom, dirty windows outside, ripped hot tub lid, musty smell coming from sofa. The doors were hazardous, on angle so doors kept opening banging into each other and us it was so pokey it ruined break for me. Put me off after 7 years it's not worth paying for hot tub and getting awful caravan. Mentioned smell when we got there of musk and was told cleaners will come tomorrow what could cleaners possibly do about musky sofa. Something should of been offered at that time to move not next day. It's a shame has beautiful surroundings I did like it there, can't believe it's gone down hill that quickly. Seriously consider going back. Please be aware that not all caravans are pet even with the website saying pet and when booking through booking.com and selecting travelling with pets this will still come up. Only realised when we read through the reviews and one had said about not all caravans being pet friendly. We booked this specifically for a family holiday with our dog, after confirming on their website that the was pet friendly. We were told on the phone that dogs were not allowed in our specific caravan, which was a complete shock and caused a lot of stress for our family and also If booking a with a hot tub I’d suggest taking fly spray as ours was surrounded with flys.
