Lovely service, kind and caring front of house staff set us up well for a greta meal. The starters came promptly and tasted great! The Scotch egg was to just amazing 😍 Mains came soon after, served well and looking amazing on the plate. Rave reviews from everyone at the table for each, fantastic work once again. Brilliant atmosphere and generally a great evening. All washed down with a pint of their "ChiffChaff", couldn't have asked for more! We had an excellent Sunday roast. The portion sizes were excellent with huge Yorkshire puddings. The cheese board could have been a main course with a huge amount of cheese and fruit (the blue cheese was practically a slab). Excellent service too and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back again My partner and I went for our 10th anniversary… it was the place we had our first date. Lovely setting, staff very polite. I’we were waiting in the bar before our table was ready and who I presume was the manager sent someone home early because they had enough staff on. We had to be asked to be seated. We then ordered drinks at the table and asked for table water … it took 3 asks before we eventually got our water. The food we ordered was really good . We got asked if we wanted dessert/coffee, given the menu then after waiting 20 mins and no one took our order I got fed up and we paid our bill at the bar and left.
