We did the ninja tag, which was great fun and a good way to get the kids moving. The place is clean and tidy. The only only negatives were that not all the tags were working and £2.50 for a bottle of is a little on the steep side. Visited 12th September 2025. Great splash play area for my toddler and little one with slides, floats, dams and wheels. The toddler also enjoyed the soft play. All areas felt clean and not too busy considering it was miserable weather outside. No hot food served on the weekdays. We booked for 2 kids and 1 adult and had a lovely time. It was start of the summer holidays, so I am not quite sure why the outdoor pool isn't open yet. I assumed it would be usable on the day of booking, especially when it was 20°C+. Considering the money that Rhyl Council have spent on the new centre, it isn't huge and I can imagine that during peak or really busy times, it will quite claustrophobic in there. The changing rooms are of a good size though and are clean. The pool area and selection of slides could be greater but for the day they were fine. We drove to have a walk along the beach. Beautiful beach and easily accessible. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of rubbish as we walked along the beach but we did our part and picked a few bits up along the way which I would urge everyone to do. Very clean, more so that some other parks we've been to. Take advantage of the half price soft play package when you book your park access to make a day of it. Limited seating by the soft play but it was the summer holidays and busy. Kids loved it which is what matters. The Sun Centre in Rhyl is honestly such a gem – it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again, no matter your age. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of energy. The facilities are spotless, the is always the perfect temperature, and there’s a great balance between relaxing areas and fun, fast-paced slides. What really made my visit stand out, though, was the team. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but I have to give a special shout-out to Robyn. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and you could tell she genuinely cares about making visitors’ experiences special. Her kindness and professionalism made the day even better – you don’t always come across staff like that, and it makes a big difference. If you’re looking for a day out in North Wales that combines fun, relaxation, and brilliant customer service, the Sun Centre in Rhyl is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back! Great day out for the family. Staff lovely and the place is clean. We paid for the outdoor splash pool but only lasted 20 minutes as it was very windy and cold which is a shame, I would imagine on a dry warmer day it would be good. Ninja tag was great fun. Visited the splash pad today for the 1st time. As we arrived i seen human poo in the water. The 1st member of staff i spoke to was extremely rude about it. Said "what do you want me to do about it? We are an outside pool' He got the manager who tried to say it wa bird poo. Ive never known a massive log of bird poo that you could pick up! I said this and he said it was a heron..... and apparently he could see shells in it. I've lived in Rhyl all my life and never seen shells in bird poo! It was definitely a child's poo that was floating about, that they were perfectly fine about 🤢So we left. No way was i letting my little girl walk around in someone's elses poo. Basically paid £12.50 to look at poo, argue about it and then leave. Will avoid in future.
