Bit off the beaten track down a narrow lane into the free car park. A leisurely stroll through the woods takes less than 20 minutes to get to the waterfall. The fall is quite small and comes through a narrow channel which does make it quite a nice sight. The water is clear and shallow so ideal for a little paddle, whether you have 2 legs or 4. A couple of nice walks make it a great area for all ages. Stunning but more signage about the past present and future of the woods and valley would lift it. Shame on the dog walkers who leave their dogs waste in plastic bags to rot at the entrance. Minging. I feel like parking could be an issue at peak times, but well worth the short walk, great for dogs who like to paddle! The is easy with just a small hill when you get to the waterfall. What an amazing place this is. It's so magical, like something out of Avatar. Firstly Google takes you to a small carpark, which is free. From here you take the woodland track to the waterfall. It's not that far and there's a cute little sign on the way that shows you where to go. There are bridleways in the woodland so please be mindful of this especially if you have an adventurous doggies. The itself it's not big but it is beautiful. You can see fishes at the bottom too as the water is so clear. Yes we did have a little dip even though the water was freeeeezing cold. The doggies loved it!!! I am so glad we saw this place and if the road takes us near we will definitely come back again. 🥰🥰 Lovely through the woods to get to the waterfall. On a sunny day, it was a magical place to visit. Our toddler loved paddling in the water, as did the dog. Recommend taking a towel. You could get a off road push chair down there with careful control. There are some steep drops on the way with no fence. No toilets but parking is free. We went at the end of September quite quiet did the middle route to the , stormy the dog had a swim. Could see a little waterfall. Nice and easy trail leading you to the waterfall. What a lovely walk, nice and easy path and lots to look out for along the route. Take wellies or you won't get across the stream and there's a better view of the from the water. There's free parking and a helpful sign/map of the possible walks around the lake, woods and waterfall. It's a fab and the location is stunning. Had a paddle with our dog and would have walked through the gap to get a better view but it gets very deep, my trousers wouldn't roll up any higher and it was very very cold indeed. Definitely worth the visit. Beautiful area. Beautiful felt like a bit of an unknown spot, was very quiet when you assumed it would be busy in the middle of the summer holidays. What a beautiful secret spot. I recommend people to go here if you like a or even just to rest by the waterfall. Narrow lanes to get there but worth the risk of coming along traffic for. Free small car park available by the entrance. If you take the hike routes be sure to have a map. Very easy to get lost due to so many different tracks available to go down. We loved it!! An easy short to the falls. If it's not been raining and has been dry like we had then the falls are not so impressive but the area is beautiful with great pllay for the kids running off into the woods and along the river upstream.. Parking is limited but we had no issues. A great couple of hours if you like to and enjoy nature. We had a big dog with us also and it was no issue..
