Little Eden Country Park, Bridlington

So some reviews were not great before we arrived saying there is a building for the record they are putting new lodges in but there was no work being done while we stayed which didn't really effect our stay. reception could do with a bit of work no letter box to post your keys through if you are out early like it said in the pack, plus nobody there when we arrived for early check in but we did manage to find someone and they were very helpful. The was good there were some marks but you do have to remember they are used every weekend and can't brand new so not really a problem, was and comfy, hot tub worked but think it was due a as there was some green residue on the outer bits but again didn't effect the inside of the tub I'd say good but they just need to improve on a few little things Just had an weekend break at this location. Lodge was lovely,with hot tub as prime attraction. Is still developing this park,with few more units added in future,so maybe for some could be an issue.Beeing in weekend we didn't see any workers,so maybe in the week could get noisy. Other then that highly recommended them!!! We have just returned from a short break at the lodges. I visited with my daughter and 4 young grandchildren. The was immaculate, very and comfortable. The beds were soft and comfortable. It had everything you require in the full fitted kitchen. We loved it and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The hot tub was a bonus. Very with hot water. The is and quite remote which is what I prefer. There are no eating facilities on the site. The only thing I would suggest which isn’t at all a negative, is to build a small adventure playground for children on and provide Wi-Fi. The outside area could do with a new coat of paint as it was very weathered compared to the interior of the lodge. We will defiantly be returning. I’ve had a really negative experience with Eden Park and would not recommend this place to anyone. We booked for 2 nights and when we arrived our hot tub lid was broken and all the polystyrene was in the hot tub. We messaged the number and a man on arrived about half an hour later to change the lid and scoop out as much polystyrene as he could. There was still quite a bit in so we had to use a kitchen sieve to get the rest out. The following day we came home from a day out in Bridlington and had no hot water (we’d been at the beach and have 2 young children so they couldn’t stand in a freezing cold shower). We contacted the property again but had no response what so ever so my partner went to try and find someone. After wandering around the resort for 20 mins (because no one was in the main area) he came across a man who said he was a handyman on the resort. He came over and said someone had stolen our flexible hoses (or more likely took them to use on another gas bottle) and we had to wait 2 hours for someone to bring some and for our hot water to come back on. It wasn’t a positive experience however I understand mistakes happen. My main issue is when we complained to booking.com the resort tried to deny this and even after photos were sent said there would be no compensation and not even an apology. If the booking had said “you’ll have to out a dirty hot tub and have no hot water one day” I wouldn’t have booked so I would just say if you are a paying customer be mindful that they don’t care if you have a bad experience. We stayed at number 20 also so if you end up with that room I would recommend you contact them and ask to change because it’s old and has a really damp smell. It wasn’t looked after. There are some lovely places around that area too - ones with way better customer experiences than here. Could do with a good and remove all cob webs with dead spiders and flys from the mezzanine part of our lodge. Toilet base needs a good . Furniture sub standard Nobody on over the weekend nosie neighbours and cars driving at speed . Limited cooking facilities and only a 2 seater sofa for 5 people would not recommend or be returning First impressions weren’t great, felt like we were staying on a building (see pic). We had to fork out for a takeaway on the first night, even though we’d been to the supermarket to buy our food for our as the gas bottles had run out and by the time we realised reception had closed (they were replaced the next day which was a plus). There were no mugs or plates in the cupboards either. The itself is lovely, and tidy and the staff were helpful. The outdoor space is a great addition but the open “windows” really don’t work. If anyone has small children or a dog then be warned, they can get out! Why aren’t they aren’t filled in with foliage? One of my teens wanted to sleep outside but I refused as it just wasn’t safe, anyone could’ve climbed in through the “windows”. There is no WiFi on which is a shame. The is situated close to amenities and the beach and is well looked after. We would here again but definitely wouldn’t choose the nature 1 again as there are much better lodges etc on site. I appreciate we booked our last minute but we would’ve appreciated some transparency that there was building work ongoing. We were pleasantly surprised with every element of our at Little Eden. I had been concerned after reading a few negative Trip Advisor comments, but decided to go ahead and book, and was very relieved after arriving at the (Luxury Cabin 19) and seeing it wasn't a wooden clad static caravan like I had anticipated it could be, but a lovely large sturdy log cabin. For us, the fact that the Little Eden Country Park was quiet with no on-site facilities (other than the fishing pond) was the draw. I can see that those customers wanting the noise and entertainment of a holiday camp would be very disappointed. Absolutely amazing over the weekend. The luxury 30 was spotlessly couldn’t fault it, very roomy for the 2 of us. The views were amazing overlooking the fishing lake. Only a 5 min drive into Bridlington town centre or a nice 1hr walk which we did back to the site.
