This charming café, nestled in the countryside, is truly unique. It’s part of a collection of buildings housing various shops. The café itself exudes charm and history. The food was quite satisfying, and there was plenty of seating available, making for a really pleasant experience. The only downside was my initial greeting from a member who seemed less than friendly; she lacked a smile and appeared unwelcoming, grumpy almost. Aside from that, everything was excellent, and I will definitely return when I'm in the area again. Visited here for the first time.its very popular with walkers / bikers / family. Farm shops too. Really enjoyed our lunch. Good value for .money. also a large variety of homemade cakes. The only problem was you have to queue outside and wait in line to place your order at the till before entering. It was a bit chilly.i think this needs addressing. Absolute top quality!!....The food is amazing and the are simply wonderful!! The vibe, the location, the premises, all excellent!!.. well done on running such a fabulous business in these trying times, and all us punters really appreciate the hard work you put in, as that's what makes it as a destination....Boom!! This has become a destination cafe for locals, cyclists, and visitors to the area. The are very helpful, and the service is swift. Excellent quality food and drinks, and nothing is too much trouble. Great place to meet up with friends, and you never know who else you might bump into while you are there. I like this place. Its tucked away behind the crop circle museum and some derelict buildings. Next to the Canal. The pub is over the canal from it. Nice good quality food. Good service. Eating areas inside and outside. A Well established café, that's better than most. We visited today and had the real dairy ice cream. It was very very tasty. The were very polite and nice and even offered to take photos for us! We arrived at peak lunch time with quite a queue to be served. However the queue moved really quickly and we were served within minutes. To be honest I needed the time to admire the cakes in the display cabinet and decide which one I was going to have! I ordered the mozzarella & pesto panini with the homemade coleslaw, and had the chocolate cheesecake. The food arrived really quickly and was delicious! Also another bonus for being dog friendly and giving our dog his very own little plate of dog treats! Probably the best choice of cakes in Wiltshire 😊 Amazing Mars Bar brownie and huge vegan Ginger and Raspberry muffin. Dog friendly with plenty of space outside overlooking the Kennet and Avon Canal. Went again for a brekkie and the choices were very good, the cafe caters for all dietary requirements. When our plates arrived we were mind blown by presentation and huge portions. And then surprised again by exceptional taste of the food. I'll definitely be a regular 😉 Such a lovely hidden place! I liked it so much I came here three days in a row! I highly rate the Breakfast, lunch and the cake selection! You'll never run out of cakes to try here! The are very friendly! Great cafe! We stopped off for a breakfast during a bike ride, food & coffee was perfect and service was friendly. I made the mistake of leaving my glasses behind and they were kind enough to post them out to me...! (Thank you!!) This is my local go to cafe, especially good after a walk on Milk Hill. I love everything about them, the vibes, the food, the locals. Try their scones, with a big marshmallow topped hot chocolate in the winter. Or their ice cream sundaes in summer. You can have sugar overload with their brownies too. On top of that you have the India Shop and their farm shop to visit too. What’s there not to like. Food was amazing, came very fast. Had the chalk stream smoked trout and egg on toast, and it was delicious. Prices are fair. My group were all happy with their food. However we were swarmed with hundreds of wasps while trying to enjoy our food, several overflowing wasp traps set out but seemingly hardly putting a dent in the problem - was a bit of a buzz kill 😂🐝 It was very busy, infact it was buzzing, and the food and service were excellent. We sat outside by the canal and our drinks arrived within a couple of minutes after ordering, and our food about 15 minutes later. The were engaging, attentive and very thorough - bringing condiments and taking away our finished, and very empty plates, after delivering more food to others. We stayed for a second drink, after our food, because it was so pleasant. The buzz of the rush had stopped as a lot of people had left....it was more of a calm hum 😊 I ordered a large full English breakfast Both egg over done dry inedible Home made hash Brown why?? Bleurgh Tinned dirt flavoured mushrooms. Please is the cook English ? Improvments not Tinned awfull mushrooms why not fresh and fried? Why not runny egg or a Normal hashbrown please sort this out...
