Very nice trail up to a scenic viewpoint. Hike by Hermitage Falls and it can be done in about an hour and a half. Relatively easy walk. Great up to the point. It's well signposted, so you won't get lost. Easy going too. I returned here in January 25 with a friend who also loves this area,but she had never visited Pine Cone Point. The was easy going in January too. Stunning views and a beautiful up to this view point. It's not a steep hill but there is a hit of a twirling path leading up to it. Worth the time if your in the area or at The Hermatage 45 minutes to the top...🥵🥵. Brilliant on good footpaths...👍👍 Easy to get up since it’s all signposted. Took us slightly longer than we expected but it wasn’t too long of a walk. There’s black linn falls on the way which are also stunning. The up is very scenic and beautiful. The view from the point is lovely and it wasn’t too crowded Amazing place! Worth every minute of travel (55min from Dunfermline) No problems with carpark, £4 for visit and enough spaces (arrive at 12 Sunday) park is easy for access with stroller. Pine Cone Point is breath taking, with kids (one in stroller) take us 1h 20min (please count that they like to see everything 😂 I mean EVERYTHING 🤣) to reach view point from bottom carpark, easy for any age. Wonderful but the trail is not “mostly flat” as Google Maps says. Also, the route isn’t as shown on Google maps. Follow the trail signs. If you do what google maps says, you’ll be going off trail straight up a cliff. The walking path was good enough for a buggy. The views were amazing!
