Tay Forest Park

Beautiful tranquil piece of nature at it's best. Well marked walking tracks. Very interesting forest with lots and lots of rivers and waterfalls as well as hundreds of great tracks for walking and cycling. Brilliant place to get lost and unwind. Stunning place, beautiful river side walks A wonderful nature walk. This is a fairly accessible walk with paths suitable for most. The walk to the Hermitage is quite straightforward and offers a wonderful view of one of the waterfalls along the rivers path. We went at the end of spring and were treated to a wonderful choir of bird song. There are two car parks. The lower one has disabled parking. A little van offers refreshments in the lower carpark. There are no toilets present which could catch you out. The nearest toilets are in Dunkeld and cost 50 pence, but that is our only gripe. Worth a visit. Beach and wood land are well laid out with defined paths. As previous posts have stated you need £2 to get in (think contactless is an option, but seemed to be causing people grief, I used coins) Good coffee shop as you come in and beach has very little in the way of footfall. Will definitely visit again. Lots of places which are dog friendly. Lovely coffee and cakes. Car park with an amazing view and picnic places. The Hermitage in Dunkeld is just an incredible place for a wedding. I was there last week and honestly it blew me away. The setting itself is like something out of a film with those massive waterfalls and towering trees. The scenery is unreal and makes for the most amazing backdrop for photos. I could have shot there all day and still not run out of ideas. What really stood out as well was the staff. Lisa and Emma were absolutely fantastic, nothing was ever a problem and they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. When you have a team like that behind the day it just makes such a difference for everyone. From a photographer’s point of view this venue is a dream. The light through the trees, the rushing water, and the variety of spaces give you so much to work with. It is one of those places where you can guarantee couples are going to have photos that feel unique and special to them. If you are looking for a wedding venue that has breathtaking scenery, incredible photo opportunities and a team who genuinely care, The Hermitage really is something else. I loved the hermitage trail even though it was raining the day we visited. The cascade of waterfalls was amazing and quite dramatic with the high level of the river. Some of the trees were really huge and impressive - i hope i will be able to explore the forest more when visiting next year ;)) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
