Absolutely fantastic pizza! 🍕 Origin is a hidden gem — a gorgeous food truck spot right by the River Wye, just a short stroll over the bridge from Hay-on-Wye. The stone-baked bases are light and crisp, the toppings are fresh and full of flavour, and every bite feels like it’s been made with real care. We sat by the river with our and honestly didn’t want it to end. Friendly service, beautiful setting, and outstanding food — 100% worth the walk and we’ll definitely be back! Awesome in an amazing location. Such lovely and warm service who are happy to share local knowledge and tips to elevate the experience beyond the delicious food. Absolutely one of the highlights of our wedding! From our initial conversation with Rebekah to the we got to take home at the end of the day, Origin were exceptional in every way. The selection of pizzas on offer for events is amazing and we were able to pick out a great variety for our guests, they were even able to bring vegan alternatives for our vegan guests which was incredible as they didn’t feel felt out and mentioned how great it tasted! Every single one of our guests spoke about how delicious the pizzas were, how fast and professional the service was and how cool it was to have a massive buffet as our breakfast! I would absolutely recommend Origin to anyone looking for someone to cater their event. Every interaction we had with them in the build up to the big day was professional and incredibly helpful! Honestly I’m thinking about having another party just so we can have even more pizza!😍🍕 We visited Origin in Hay and loved it so much that we booked Origin for our at Brynich Barn in June 2025. We couldn’t have been happier with the service we received. From the initial booking with Rebekah via email, everything was seamless and professional. The team were so lovely and friendly on the day and the was absolutely incredible being served from the cool Landrover! Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how delicious it was. We have even been back since the as it really is the best around. We’re so glad we chose Origin for our evening catering – We can't recommend them enough. After being a part of our engagement story, we knew we wanted Nick and Origin to cater at our wedding. Even though the venue was further than they would usually travel, they said yes straight away. Bek was fantastic throughout the planning phase and answered any questions we had. We felt so at ease with Origin that we knew the big day would be perfect. Nick and the crew turned up on time and fed our 115 guests their top tier which everyone said was some of the best they've ever tasted. We couldn't recommend Origin highly enough. Stayed at a local camp site with terrible signal, chatted to one of the team on the phone as I was worried I had either ordered 4 times or not at all (bad signal!), team were so helpful to check my order. The pizzas were incredible, dough was crispy and perfectly chewy, topping and dips were great. Thanks guys, just a shame you're 300miles away from home for us! lovely and lovely service, took up hay bluff and enjoyed with the view 10/10 evening!! will definitely be back for more I didn’t like before origin, best ever.
