Fan-freakin-tastic! Absolute gem, fish, their lobster is to die for and they are coealic friendly!!!! Nice restaurant with very welcoming staff right beside where the fish are brought to shore. The food was very good, and piping hot. Excellent service and well worth the trip. What to say about this place? Everything is fantastic! We went on a recommendation and we were so glad we did. The food here is so good we have been back multiple times. It's been worth it every visit. All of the food is so incredibly fresh. Being of Donegal stock, glad to see Mulroy Bay mussels on the menu (👏). But the highlights really are the lobster and the scampi. Both of which are of an unreal quality, sweet and fresh, exactly how seafood should be. My partner said it was the best scampi he has ever had. All in, such good value for money and with such nice, friendly service, it's no wonder the place is doing well. Best restaurant for seafood. The chowder was full of fish and really creamy. Served with a wheaten scone. I had the scallops and prawns to follow. Equally delicious. My son had the best scampi ever. Absolutely Gorgeous Grub ! Staff outstanding 👏 , so engaging- a must for George Best fan's, as a coffee-n- chat open also , with Genuine archived memories of the BEST FAMILY, Well worth the drive- trip down our Ards Peninsula The Quays came highly recommended through friends. I booked a table and travelled 50 minutes to the location. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The restaurant had a great vibe but our table was in an overflow room? This was more like a cafe, and it seemed to be a where they sat families/kids. I found it strange why I was asked on the phone if my booking of 5 was all adults or if it included kids - the reason soon came to mind when I seen the we were sat in. The had a cafe vibe, uncomfortable booth seats and a couch sat in the corner. The setting would remind you of sitting in a cafe with the fridges, coffee machine and disused equipment sat in front of you. I raised this concern with the lady at the front bar who advised there was no other availability (which is understandable on a Sunday) but the lack of interest shown by staff at this stage was very disappointing. I explained I wouldn't be staying and I had ordered drinks, I was then handed a bill of £20.15 for 5 drinks (4 cokes and 1 pint) that was barely touched. Extremely disappointing family day out and most definitely would not recommend should you wish to dine with kids regardless of age. It seems to be aimed towards the more senior/pensioner clientele Amazing place, service second to non. Seafood dishes are so and local catch. Motorhome and pet friendly. Have a drink or meal and stay for free. We went to The New Quays for a special occasion and from the moment we arrived the experience was fabulous. We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our table very quickly. All the staff were very helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The food was delicious, we had tempura prawns followed by scampi. It was outstanding. I have a lactose problem and the waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable. To my delight they had lactose free ice cream to go with the dessert. Throughout the afternoon there was a steady stream of customers but the level of service remained very high. I cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant, its very definitely worth a visit.
