Also because we are Flemish a lot of the signs were translated in Dutch but not all of them. At the end of the your you can enjoy a local beer at the cafeteria, where there's also a big playground for the kids. Really loved this experience! Great playgarden, entrance fee of the playhouse is reimbursed in case of consumption in the cafetaria. In the month of November, there was little to see. Should have visited during spring. Very nice family programme with small kids. Simple, well illustrating the life of the lake, a number of observation points. Due to Covid there were some restrictions, but still gave lots of interesting opportunities to explore. The tour through the renovated information center is informative and aimed at children. However, the art gallery is a nice addition for people of all ages. The walk outside is very pretty and has some unique and playful elements. Alongside the information, there's some bird watching houses and a herbal garden. The route is clever and if you look closely, you can see tracks from animals that live there too! The bird feeding and drinking spot stood out for me since it attracts many birds which you can see from pretty close. Very nice and interesting area. kids loved it. Pity the the restaurant stops serving food at 14:00 which we were not told at the reception and only found out after sitting down and wondering why the waitress was not coming over to us after 10mins. Definitely worth visiting!!! (But only French speaking guides) The overnight cabins on the water front are just delightful! The area is nice but not really worth the 8€ entry... no explaining boards in english and I would appriciate more interactive educative activities and interesting objects and more telescopes so that more people can observe the birds. Also the area would use some maintenence... the glass/water for observing fish was so dirty that it was pointless to have it. I do not see an added value comparing to regular park or walk in a forest.
