Great location over looking the sea. We have a with sea view which is beautiful. A few bits of cleaning missed but not the end of the world. Main bedroom door has been hit by a previous guest and not been replaced, also some damage on the en-suite door. Used the late night loaded delivery, arrived 10 minutes after the selected time but this was fine. Food was fresh & hot. I don’t think Thunderbird chicken & scoops have been open yet. park, we were lucky that the weather was beautiful during our stay, it made it really incredible. The beach is for walking the dog in the mornings and evenings. The entertainment was great, bingo was fab and the arcades were really good. Very laid back park compared to others but stunning and convenient to food shops near by to stock up! Sandy Bay is a venue. Accommodation is good. Site facilities good for families. I would have liked a quieter place to have a drink. The bins need emptying more some overflowing and I don't like them being placed right next to our accommodation especially in hot weather. The team were great. The road leading into the site needs the pot holes filling But overall the holiday was good We had a time at Sandy Bay overall. Great weather and close to the beach. We were in a Hadrian which was a caravan. However the was let down by the cleanliness and lack of items that should have been included. Some of the doors were faulty - difficult to close if at all. One of the bedroom lights didn't work. We took a written list to reception who assured us someone would be along to have a look and provide missing items - we were there all week and no-one came. When we took the duvet cover off at the end of the week there was blood stains on the duvet - ugh there from a previous occupant! We have visited Sandy Bay before and not experienced these problems. We paid a bit more money for this so we were disappointed - if there had been a bit more attention to detail it would have been lovely. well kept park. Super pet friendly accommodation that our labrador thought of as a home from home. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious with care taken to provide you with most things you would need for a relaxing stay. The beach was brilliant although not all that easy to access but great for dogs and there is an indoor swimming pool for children. Newbiggin is worth a visit although that beach does have dog restricted areas (not too well signposted but advised by a local gentleman). All in all a very relaxing break and looking to return soon. This is the first time we have visited Sandy Bay and we were not disappointed. We arrived on Mon 15th Nov got settled in our and the central heating boiler was not working got in touch with Abby at reception who was very helpful and said Jordan (maintenance) would be out to fix it, but he couldn't get it working. Abby and Jordan worked together and upgraded us to another central heating etc working perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. We will definitely be back site and friendly staff.
