It's in Silloth on the Solway Firth a lovely part of the country. Big Fella situated facing the firth by a nice dog walking area. It's well worth visiting if your up that beck of the woods. Having seen lots of other people's pictures of this sculpture, we had to get out own! A great feature with a gorgeous view of Scotland across the bay! Well worth the walk from the green to see it Very peaceful place. Good for a morning run or a stroll Beautiful view. And an impressive statue. Bring a picnic. Or fish and chips. Or a coffee. And smile! Perfect place to just sit on the grass and think, or eat, or say hi to everyone else who are doing the same thing. On a sunny day you can see Scotland. On a cloudy day you can just sit. Fabulous place to sit and relax on a warm evening. The 'Big fella' is fabulous, just love the dog and ball detail! Picnic tables make it a great place to sit and have a fish supper!😊 I came across this sculpture when I was visiting for Silloth parkrun. The figure and the dog are very detailed. There are lovely views across to Scotland from this bench. Amazing installation, especially loved the dog waiting patiently for his ball to be thrown!
