I was so looking forward to ice here but it wasn't actually as nice as it looked, a little bland. I tried the chocolate and the vanilla. Next time I'll try something more exotic!! Best Ice in town, for sure. A very nice ice shop in the city of Guarda in a leafy neighborhood. Friendly service and a great menu selection. Plenty of liquer choices if that's your thing. To drink, we had a hot chocolate with whipped cream, and a cappuccino. Our chosen ice-cream was 'Nicola' to share. The French described one of life's greatest experiences as "la petite mort." This Ice can only be described as "la douce mort." Prepare for a sugar rush! Gelato is delicious. The staff were very friendly and despite my total lack of Portuguese was patient and we were able to order exactly what we wanted. Nice place to eat a salad or a ice in Guarda. Very nice staff. Ice was amazing. Their menu is very inventive and original. Our kids loved the “spaghetti” and the “bee” ice cream. The absolute BEST gelato you'll ever have!! Old family recipe... Nicola and his staff are super warm and friendly. Once you've had this gelato, you'll never want a different one. Great ice for a very good price (for Portugal, depending on where you live you might be accustomed to other prices), lovely place to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Definitely try one of the ice cups with fruit, or actually, any one of the others ;) !!!
